Reviews - Rainforest Cafe
Reviews summary
Rainforest Cafe offers a captivating atmosphere reminiscent of a lush jungle, complete with animatronic animals and immersive sounds. While many patrons praise the unique setting and engaging vibe for families, opinions on the food quality and service are mixed. Some diners reported long wait times and disappointing, cold meals, indicating possible inconsistency in the kitchen's performance. Prices can be steep, particularly for adults, but the children’s menu remains budget-friendly. Overall, the experience may appeal to those seeking adventure over culinary excellence, making it optimal for families, especially after visits to nearby attractions.

•I absolutely love to come here, especially after going to the zoo. The whole environment is fun, and immersive! There is a little gift shop you can buy stuff at, which is pretty inexpensive. And there is a restaurant with a bar add on away from thekids. If you've never been you should go! •They have animatronic animal's who move and make noise, as well as a coolrainforest storm. Some times the storms scares kids the first time as it is loud and the lights starts flickering, but once theyget used to it, they will be having a fun time! •The adult menu is a little expensive, but all their food is amazing. •Theirkids menu is inexpensive, with lots of choices!
The atmosphere was very entertaining and the comfort of the restaurant was good. You are surrounded by the sounds of animal life and the greenery and starry night above ties the whole eating experience together. The staff were very accommodating, the fooddelicious and overall a great experience for those of all ages. Watkins score: 90 of 100
Pricey but enchanting. I am disappointed that you need a large party to be near the animatronics during dinner. It's disheartening to see a child left out on the fringes because they don't generate much revenue with just a party of 2. I forked out $25.00 for a single adult cheeseburger dinner.
Having visited Rainforest Cafe in Disney World many times over the years, we were eager to check out the one in Tempe. However, it was nothing like the Rainforest Cafe we remember. We arrived when the restaurant opened, and it took an hour after we ordered to receive our food, which was not only subpar but also served lukewarm. The restrooms were shockingly dirty—so much so that they made a typical gas station restroom seem clean. My daughter even spotted a small bug crawling on the floor in her stall (see photos). It’s clear that they haven’t been properly cleaned in months. I can only imagine how unsanitary the kitchen must be. Save yourself the time and money—eating here could be a risk for food poisoning.
The restaurant offers a wonderful dining atmosphere with its animatronic jungle animals that move and make sounds. The rainforest lighting creates an enchanting ambiance, complete with occasional thunder every 20 minutes. It's a truly unique experience that children will love. The food is delicious and reasonably priced for the quality of the dining experience, and there are good drink options available for adults as well.

I had a great birthday dinner. the atmosphere is so funny. our server, evan was very friendly and attentive. that was delicious. a very nice selection of entrees.
I checked the reviews before our visit, so I had an idea of what to expect. My granddaughters, ages 6 and 7, enjoyed the jungle-themed animation. We ordered a steak fajita, a Cobb salad, two kids’ meals of chicken nuggets with fries, two iced teas, and a side of mozzarella sticks, which totaled over $100. The children’s drinks were complimentary. We made a reservation for noon on a Saturday and were promptly seated in a booth as we requested. However, after our order was taken, we didn’t hear from anyone for 30 minutes. The mozzarella sticks arrived first, followed by our main dishes about 15 minutes later. While the food was decent, it felt a bit pricey. Overall, we had a nice experience, but I don’t think we’ll return.
The food and ambience was great, the waiter was nice but seemed overwhelmed. Family of 6, food came out a bit late and my food was completely forgotten and I had to wait an additional 15mins to eat after everyone. The waiter was no where to be found, and didn’t check in with us. My young children really like the food and ambience so I will give it another try.
We were disappointed that there was no rain. (It's clear that it's updated.) Unfortunately, I attended with a large group that expected all the typical attractions.
