We picked up our order on Monday, September 5th, and thoroughly enjoyed it. My parents, who are older and are looking for healthier takeout options, were satisfied with the meal. The service was exceptional. The only thing I would have liked was more roasted vegetables in my dish. View all feedback.
What Justin Whaley doesn't like about Original Chopshop:
I really enjoy Chop Shop for its delicious food, but unfortunately, my recent experiences at this particular location have been disappointing. I have visited a few times and each time I have been unimpressed by the food and service. I do not recommend this specific restaurant. The rice I received was undercooked and hard, and when I was asked if I wanted vegetables, I found it odd since that is one of the main attrac... View all feedback.
Did an online order had lunch delivered. A club sandwich, 2 turkey sandwiches a teriyaki protein bowl. Everyone seemed to enjoy their lunch. Delivery was faster than the estimate, which was great but there was an $8 delivery charge in addition to the tip.
I moved out of town and was so excited to eat at the Original ChopShop again since I haven’t eaten at one since I moved away but was unfortunately disappointed by my experience today. Could have just been a bad day or bad location but my carrots were hard and barely cooked, broccoli was sad looking and old, and my husband’s quinoa wasn’t cooked all the way. I was just looking forward to familiar and fresh healthy food while in town. I hope I don’t come off rude I just wanted to leave some honest feedback.
Don't waste your money here, you've been warned. I used to enjoy eating here, but I give up on feeling duped out of our hard earned money. Spent $50 for a teriyaki chicken bowl with comically small portions and the food that was served was far from fresh (strange looking old/dehydrated sweet potatoes, unripe hard avocado, old limp carrots that were still hard/undercooked , and everything else we ordered was either inedible or severely lacking in ingredients that its supposed to come with...our 2 chx and kale wraps had chicken, a slice of tomato, a tiny piece of kale, no dressing and 2 little shreds of cheese. On top of that the chicken (basically the only ingredient they put in the wrap, looked undercooked on spots, pink tint . I'm not exaggerating. It was so sad. And the sides we ordered for the kids, sweet potatoes (looked like week old, dehydrated, with mostly little shreds of sweet potato skins...what?? And the quinoa had sugar snap peas that were very pale green, not fresh AT ALL. I couldn't even let my kids eat it for fear of them getting sick. We left feeling hungry still, and regretting the food that we did consume, and out of $50. Chop Shop is not what they used to be. Come here at your own risk.
Service was good , nice and friendly, food was ehhhhhh OK I guess, supper dry veggies, not flavor. Not even salt , steak not seasoned and plan ol dry brown rice , what's more to say , but if u eating healthy mite be the place for you.
The food was great. No complaints there. However, I was not satisfied for the amou t of protein that came in one of my bowls. I paid extra for the extra protein (chicken) and when I got home there were just 5-6 pieces of chicken. I called the restaurant and was told that the amount of chicken was correct. The manager told me he had seen his/her employee adding the correct amount of chicken but he still offer me to come by for an extra side of chicken. So I had to drive back there for the extra chicken. This was a bummer. I really liked the food there but not sure how I feel about this.
