The best word to describe this place is FRESH! I ordered the Cancun House Oysters and the Shrimp Costa Azul, and they were perfection! The oysters were topped with a ceviche that included fresh fish, shrimp, and octopus. Plus, the oysters were enormous. The Shrimp Costa Azul was stuffed with fresh fish and cooked to perfection. This is definitely a place I will revisit soon!

Our meal here was so lackluster, and the service so insanely bad, I actually chose not to review them back in May, and deleted from my phone the remaining pictures of our meals. Food that looked good, but wasn't really. Our experience was so contrary to everything everyone else had to say. I have since decided that I needed to write this, to remind myself I do not want to get sucked into eating here again because of the still high ratings. What went wrong I'll never know. Our food was the most incredibly average, non authentic, tasteless representation of watered down Mexican food I have had in a long time, the flavors were off. The food needed doctoring on all levels. The worst dish of all was the Oysters Rockefeller (made with watery frozen spinach and mayo? So wrong on so many levels, it should be removed from the menu. The shrimp cocktail was redeemable, but it took an effort. The cocktail sauce was sweet, probably the result of too much catsup. It required a lot of lime juice and salsa to tone it down. The shrimp were ok and there were plenty of them. The remainder of my companions were as unenthused as I with their more traditional meals. There were 4 of us, and we agreed none of us would return. There are definitely much better places for Mexican food than this. At least, there are in my neck of the woods.
