Once in awhile you get lucky! Super amazingly fresh and refreshing. So DO try the chichharone octopus taco...what a delight. The govenator taco is a smoked tuna taco with sooo much flavor. Homemade tortilla's, lots of cucumbers made this gringa mucho gusto! I am so glad that the italian deli had closed. We would have missed out!! Nice and clean and very lovely and friendly owners. Goooooooooooal!!!! View all feedback.
What Sarah A doesn't like about Red Devil Brewing:
I really want this place to be successful. I 've been here a few times. Most recently came here for Cinco De Mayo because honestly I knew it wouldn 't be busy. They weren 't busy and I asked for a To Go meal and it took over an hour. PROS: The food is amazing, the flavors are great the portion is generous and the price is fair. Also the chips and salsas have my stamp of approval. CONS: the service. They are ALWAYS sl... View all feedback.
It seems today's Yelper's 4 star review is the old 2.5 star. Our meal here was so lackluster, and the service so insanely bad, I actually chose not to review them back in May, and deleted from my phone the remaining pictures of our meals. Food that looked good, but wasn't really. Our experience was so contrary to everything everyone else had to say. I have since decided that I needed to write this, to remind myself I do not want to get sucked into eating here again because of the still high ratings. What went wrong I'll never know. Our food was the most incredibly average, non authentic, tasteless representation of watered down Mexican food I have had in a long time, the flavors were off. The food needed doctoring on all levels. The worst dish of all was the Oysters Rockefeller (made with watery frozen spinach and mayo? So wrong on so many levels, it should be removed from the menu. The shrimp cocktail was redeemable, but it took an effort. The cocktail sauce was sweet, probably the result of too much catsup. It required a lot of lime juice and salsa to tone it down. The shrimp were ok and there were plenty of them. The remainder of my companions were as unenthused as I with their more traditional meals. There were 4 of us, and we agreed none of us would return. There are definitely much better places for Mexican food than this. At least, there are in my neck of the woods.
A few of my Yelp friends had posted some awesome looking food photos of this place, so I bookmarked it and I was on a mission to try it out on the next taco Tuesday! It's across town from us, but wifey and I came out a few days ago for dinner after work. We sat down and within a minute, one of the employees had delivered some hot chips and salsa! I ended up ordering an horchata, 3 tacos (fish, chicken, carne asada), and my wife ordered carne asada fries. I was pleasantly surprised when I finished my tacos and I was absolutely stuffed... the fries were really good and definitely sharing size. The only thing I didn't really like was that the horchata was way too grainy and that there isn't really an open salsa bar... I gotta be that needy guy that keeps asking for more salsa. I would definitely recommend this place and I'll come back with some friends when I'm on this side of town again.
One can always count on Yelp for great, new restaurant suggestions. Wanting to get my Taco Tuesday on, I looked for Cancun Seafood Mexican Grill, which is located in a small mall on Temecula Parkway. I was welcomed by the staff into a clean, nicely decorated space with ample seating. Excited to try a few things and take advantage of their $2 taco specials, I ordered a Fish Taco, Carne Asada Quesataco, and California Burrito. Little did I know that would be way too much food for one person as their tacos were full and hefty, along with chips salsa served to the table. The California Burrito was fair in size, with the crispiest fries I've ever had in one (I credit that to the kitchen cutting it in half for plate presentation). The flavors were good on everything though I had to ask for a box. It seems to be a family-run business, and everyone was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The major plus for me was being able to watch women's soccer on the televisions during my meal!
Fantastic Mexican seafood. Cancun Oysters n seafood tacos are fantastic. Real handmade corn tortilla are a must! Tacos are the best!!!
They are ALWAYS slow. Every time i 've been there it can be empty or it can be packed and the waitress takes forever to get our order, the food takes a long time to cook, and when I ask for something they take even longer. They also don 't have a full bar yet so no Margaritas here I 'm hoping they can get their act together and work on the service. Until then 3 stars they shall remain.
