Falkner Winery The Pinnacle

Description

Faulkner Winery offers a stunning setting and a warm, inviting atmosphere perfect for wine enthusiasts and date nights alike. Their Syrah and Meritage reds stand out among the enjoyable wine selection, often best explored in the tasting room before dining. The restaurant boasts a mix of hits and misses: while some dishes like the Santa Barbara Salad and avocado-rich plates impress, others such as the turkey BLT and certain specials fall short in quality and presentation. Service varies, with some staff praised for attentiveness and others criticized for rushed or inattentive care. Overall, Faulkner combines great wine, beautiful views, and a charming venue with room to refine its culinary and service offerings.

I visited with my family, a group of about 12, and we were all impressed by the delicious food and excellent service. The staff was incredibly professional, friendly, and accommodating. The view was also stunning! It's a fantastic place to spend the day. They offer a wide selection of wines, all of which are delightful.

If you’re in Temecula, California, don’t miss a visit to Pinnacle restaurant. The view is breathtaking, and the food is absolutely amazing! We started with the crispy Brussels sprouts, which were incredibly tasty. The grilled salmon was fantastic, the winemaker pasta was a pleasure to eat, and the chicken and mushroom risotto was simply divine. To finish our meal, we savored a smooth key lime pie paired with their port. I truly adore this place!

We really enjoyed the view, and the Sangria was fantastic. I ordered the Santa Barbara salad, which was delicious. Our waitress was prompt and attentive. However, there is no outdoor seating at the restaurant.

My wife and I dined at this restaurant with some friends and enjoyed a wine flight. The wines were quite enjoyable, but the food was just average. While the California burger was acceptable, the turkey BLT reminded me of something you'd find at Subway, using deli meat from the grocery store. If you choose to visit, I suggest focusing on the wine tasting and bypassing the food.

I am very sad as I write this review. My husband and I have been loyal members of the Wine Club for many years. Throughout the closure from the pandemic and then the continued challenges when the fire destroyed a large portion of the tasting room and warehouse , we continued our Wine Club membership and purchases. We dutifully drove from Mira Mesa to Temecula to pick up our Wine Club shipments every other month or so. We even put off redeeming our Club points when we were asked to do so because of the fire and the lower inventory, which we did. In June 2022, we were given a print out of the points needed to redeem for wine. At that time, 2500 points would provide $500 in wine. So when we returned to Temecula and Falkner Winery a month later, only to find out that the amount of points needed to redeem for $500 had increased to 5000 points. We were told that an email had been sent out in June 2022 outlining the new points policy that was supposed to take affect in July. The only problem was that my husband and I never received that email. We didn't learn about the policy change until we drove up to Temecula in August. We have been told that there is nothing that can be done for us. Our loyalty through Falkner Winery's challenging times have been rewarded with the advise to just keep buying the wine and continue being wine club members. We can only hope we do this before the points policy changes again. If this is way Falkner Winery rewards loyalty , we are seriously considering ending our Wine Club membership. Loyalty doesn't seem to matter .
