**Restaurant Review: A Culinary Journey Between Peru and Mexico** Nestled in an inviting spot, this restaurant offers a fusion of Peruvian and Mexican cuisines. Signature dishes like Lomo Saltado and ceviche showcase fresh ingredients, yet some diners found flavors muted, lacking the expected vibrancy of Peruvian spice. Despite mixed reviews, the atmosphere remains warm and welcoming, with efficient, friendly service. Enthusiastic patrons recommend the torta Cubana and fried plantains for their unique taste and homestyle preparation. While the pricing aligns with modern dining standards, a desire for more adventurous flavors persists. Overall, this eatery provides a wholesome experience, especially for those seeking casual comfort food.
Everything delicious! The food was very delicious, really the Peruvian flavor in each dish, and the service was excellent, everyone was very friendly and a warm atmosphere to eat with the family. Totally recommended Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I ordered the "bistek a la poor" and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the dish when it arrived. Everything was simply delicious, especially the plantains! The steak was well-seasoned and delightful, and the white rice had exceptional flavor. My boyfriend ordered the ceviche mixto, and while he was initially disappointed that it was listed as an appetizer, he found the portion to be quite satisfying. By the time he finished, he felt content without overindulging. It does not come with chips or tostadas, which is what we're used to, but I asked for chips, and the cook explained that it is traditionally enjoyed without them, which is understandable given the different culinary customs. They did manage to serve some chips for him, though. I told my parents about this place, and they’re planning to check it out soon. The green salsa they provided reminded me of a creamy cilantro dressing (which I adore), but it had a different texture and a nice kick. I ended up taking the leftovers home because it was so good. I'm trying to lose weight and stick to a diet, but I might just have to sneak back for more of their food! I believe the older gentleman is the owner, and he occasionally came over to our table to check on us. I saw him helping out and serving food as well. The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. You definitely get your money's worth, and your taste buds will definitely be delighted!

After reading the reviews, it became clear that Lomo Saltado was the restaurant's most popular dish, so I decided to give it a try. Nowadays, dining out typically costs around $15 to $20 per person, which I find a bit outrageous, but it seems to be the norm. What really sets restaurants apart is the quality and portion size. Unfortunately, I felt that the quality of the dish could have been better. While everything was certainly fresh, it lacked flavor and complexity. As someone who's not very familiar with Peruvian cuisine, I was eager to explore new flavors, but what I received was simply rough-cut potatoes with onions, peppers, and meat (which was actually decent quality) served with a small scoop of rice. I was hoping for a unique blend of spices or a sauce that would make me think, "Ah, now that’s Peruvian!" Regrettably, I didn’t experience that. The only notable aspect was the rough-cut potatoes, but they didn't seem crucial to the overall dish. While I recognized that it was wholesome and healthy, I was hoping for something more exciting. They did provide a side sauce that appeared to be just a blend of cilantro and oil. If the prices were more reasonable, I might find this place appealing; however, when I'm paying $20 for a meal, I want to feel truly satisfied and delighted.
