We asked f... read more We went on the recommendation of our AirBnB host and we were not disappointed. Juan jamon is an unpretentious establishment that does jamon and wine. We asked for and got a wide assortment of jamon and cheese to sample. We also ordered vino tinto, the “Figuero 4” Rebiera (at 12Euros a bottle to take away), to go with our food. We were not charged for the freshly baked bread and olives. The highlight was the jamon bellota heavenly. The wine was also a very pleasant surprise great value for the price and we bought a few bottles to take back to our B&B.

Our Spanish is minimal but we were made to feel very welcome. Top tip would be the cream chorizo and the honey cheese, both served on a sliver of toast. I just had to have it again. Wish we had a Juan Jamon in our city.

The atmosphere is really Spanish, the people are mostly local. It will be the first cafe I will go in Telde for sure!
