We are here a couple of times during our stay in Manuel Antonio. The food was very good and the staff are super friendly helpful. Steven especially so! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
It’s a corner shop, and it is very easy to spot. We had Casado with pescado (fish) and seafood soup. Food is good and big portion. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₡8,000–10,000 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Pleasantly surprised! I was a bit worry it would be a touristy place because of the gentleman on the street, trying to attract customers, but I was very wrong. The guy was super friendly, and so was the entire staff. They made sure we had a good time, good food, and were treated well. Can definitely recommend this one. We really enjoyed our experience in this facility. The staff, in particular Roberto, was very friendly and yet efficient. The food and drinks came out very quickly and we enjoyed every single dish we ordered. We had the Calamari and the Ceviche as starters. Both were delicious. For the main meal I had wrapped the grilled sea bass in banana leaf, my wife had the fried red snapper, and my daughter had the shrimp pasta. All three were delicious, but the grilled fish in banana leaves was the highlight. We finished our meal with a Flan de Coco, which was also delicious. The only disappointment was the fries that accompanied the fish. You were just okay. Next time, I'd go for the beautified vegetables instead. You pay tourist prices, like any other restaurant in Manuel Antonio. But the seafood was fresh and well prepared, so it was definitely worth it.
Had a good and quick lunch after visiting Manuel Antonio park. Service was super prompt and very friendly and the beer might have been the coldest beer we've had at any restaurant, which was awesome and definitely notable. I'd go back just for a super cold beer! We tried the calamari and the nachos, which were a unique take on nachos with the chips on the side, but they were good. They had a base of refried beans on the bottom with the lettuce, meat, cheese, and pico layered on top. The flavors were good and the dip approach worked well.
