Contribute FeedbackWind Tunnel offers a mixed experience, blending delightful culinary offerings with service inconsistencies. While some patrons rave about its artisan sandwiches, delicious cream teas, and exceptional coffee, others voice frustration over lengthy wait times for orders and misrepresented portion sizes. The deli side, showcasing a range of intriguing cheeses and products, garners praise for quality, especially the well-received Ploughman’s and cheese fondue. Friendly staff elevate the experience, providing attentive service and knowledgeable recommendations. Overall, this quaint café in Bovey Tracey emerges as a hidden gem, inviting repeat visits despite some areas that require improvement.
Found by accident whilst on holiday in the area. The cafe food is unbelievably good from such an uninspiring little room and courtyard. The decoy is bare, the staff extremely helpful and the food divine. The artisan sandwiches for me are great. I had local goats cheese with a ginger and something relish and salad which tasted unbelievable. All the food comes from the deli. My wife had a ham ploughmans. The pickle and relish were tasty and unusual. We ended up buying lots from the deli!!
Another lovely Friday evening at the deli with fantastic wine and deli board. Also a great opportunity to meet some new locals. Thanks Jeremy for your food, enthusiasm and wine advice.
We went in for drinks, they managed to cater for a dairy intolerance which was nice. Limited choice for children but we managed.
Popped in for a last minute lunch on a cold day. Cosy area at the back of the shop though there are tables outside for a warmer day. Service was quick and staff were helpful. Food was yummy and there are a few decent choices available if you are vegetarian. Coffee was also good and soya can be used if you ask.
We got various items from the well stocked deli counter and they were all delicious! They have a great range of drinks as well, both beer and wine; you can even sit and have a gin tonic or a glass of wine! The staff are lovely too a great place to visit! The only disappointing aspect was the cakes, which were alright but not fantastic. But everything else was!
