Reviews - Welcome Bite
Reviews summary
Welcome Restaurant's reputation has significantly diminished, as recent visits reveal concerning issues. Diners have reported greasy food and inflated prices, with meals falling short of expectations for both taste and quality. Service has also been criticized, with instances of rudeness among staff exacerbated by chaotic interactions. Patrons felt undervalued, leaving some families disheartened and unlikely to return after negative experiences, including cold dishes and poor customer service. All in all, what should be a delightful culinary experience has turned into a regrettable part of their stay, leading many to seek dining options off-site instead.

However, we did encounter a slight issue during our stay. On Saturday, we went to the welcome reception for a meal, which was advertised as being open all day. Unfortunately, when we arrived around 3 PM, it wasn't open. The staff were quick to address this and opened up for us. But when we tried to order a pizza, we were informed that the pizza oven wasn't worth turning on for just one customer, even though it was re... View all feedback.
What 436pc dislikes about Welcome Bite:
We have been frequenting the Welcome restaurant for 30 years and had never tried the Welcome Bite until now. After this experience, we will not be returning. We ordered 2 pizzas, one with double pepperoni and 8 small slices of pepperoni, but the cheese was so greasy that it was inedible. We also got 2 chicken burgers and a child's fish finger meal, along with a portion of chips, which all came to just over £45. The f... View all feedback.

It was our first time at this restaurant, and my husband and I were truly impressed. The place was beautiful and clean, and our bungalow was fantastic, equipped with all the modern amenities we needed for the weekend. There was a family clubhouse, a swimming pool, and some shops just outside the park, including a really nice fish and chip shop. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we can't thank the cleaning crew enough. One of the kids from our family accidentally left their Nintendo Switch games and case in the car, and the cleaning team turned them in, ensuring we got them back. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!
We have just returned from a week of welcome, 3 adult, 1 teenager and 2 under 5’s. we arrived at 2.30 a.m. and expected that we were too early to check how the info package says to check, but we were greeted with a smile and said our lodge was ready....easy build! we have booked the casita lodge and can tell them it was just perfect, much space for all when we and very clean, we were in the location, almost next to him (2 cars). the website has everything you want....we had never had any problems with the pools, children loved the playground. we went to the club every night, the entertainment was great... especially on a lot for the children, that is how it should be, I think. a thing that I would say is the evening show starts a little too late (10 pm) children were tired at this point. dawlish beach is simply beautiful, we spent most days fun here. dawlish centre, teignmouth and babacoombe are simply spectacular and I would recommend visiting this place as well! we all agreed that we definately back to welcome, the park, the staff, the lodge all amazing. many thanks for a beautiful holiday.! and a personal scream after pat (not knowing their surname).
What a fantastic holiday park! The staff were amazing, and the entertainment team was excellent. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. The scenery is beautiful, and it's just a short walk to the beach. My kids, partner, and our dog all loved it! xxx
Large family space to come, last to do personal are all polite and helpful. for over 15 years. would recommend everyone.
Mark Price and the team have excelled again this year with their amazing shows well done guys and I must say that the food at welcome bite is much better than previous years and the sharing pizza is amazing value for money

We also got 2 chicken burgers and a child's fish finger meal, along with a portion of chips, which all came to just over £45. The food took a long time to prepare and was cold by the time we returned to our caravan. The staff did not speak to us at all. This was our first and last time using this restaurant.
We waited a long time for our food and were extremely disappointed. The prices were high and the taste and quality were awful.
My wife and I had pizza and chili bites on our first night and were charged £21.50, which we found to be quite overpriced. On the second night, we had cheeseburgers and cheesy chips and were charged £15.00, which we also felt was a bit too expensive. We won't be dining here again, as we'd rather go off-site for food. The food was really greasy and we were put off by the staff yelling at each other in front of customers.
Absolutely disgraceful service and food. Cheese out a can vile. Worst food I've eaten in 31 years and by god I've eaten some food.
