Description

Nestled in the heart of Teignmouth, this restaurant has garnered mixed reviews, particularly for its fish and chips, which received particularly harsh criticism for being overcooked and unpalatable. However, other menu offerings, especially breakfasts and sandwiches, shine with fresh ingredients and friendly service. Diners appreciate the generous portions and the welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular spot for families. While the restaurant's dog-friendly policy has raised eyebrows, many patrons commend the attentive staff and the cleanliness of the establishment. Ultimately, it’s a mixed bag, appealing to some while disappointing others, particularly when it comes to its seafood offerings.

We enjoyed a pleasant lunch at this restaurant. The menu had a variety of options at reasonable prices, with generous portions and fast service from friendly staff. The only minor criticism is that the seating is a bit cramped, especially for larger or taller individuals. However, we would definitely return next time we are in the area. Overall, we had two great experiences here! I cannot comment on other dishes as we did not try them, but the burger, omelette, and baguette were delicious!

I have been a regular at Seaview Diner for years. My mom lives in Teignmouth and it is one of her favorite restaurants. Since I moved to Torbay, I have been visiting more often as it is conveniently located next to the bus stop to my house. I often grab a coffee and enjoy the view while I wait for my bus. The all-day breakfast is delicious, but their burgers are some of the best I have ever tasted! The layout of the restaurant allows many tables to have a view of sunny Teignmouth.

Inexpensive and cheerful restaurant with a clean environment and friendly staff. The service was very fast and efficient, and the food was decent, although the chips were nothing special and the tea was lukewarm. I would consider returning for a meal, as it satisfied my hunger and I appreciate the polite service. However, I would probably skip the tea next time.
