Old Commercial Inn - Teignbridge

Very friendly, characterful local pub. renter michael and all staff were friendly and helpful. at least 3 regional reale ales, all were of the highest quality. we ate great homemade food from a welcoming menu. the steak food pudding was one of the best. I ever had. next time we will be back on the sw. britstoppers: this is a good place to stay, provided that you van is small (after the lead.)

A fabulous traditional pub with magnificent vintage atmosphere. very friendly owners and employees, a fantastic selection of drinks and cocktails and delicious dinners and desserts in the offer. it is great to see a pub restored to its original features with beams, camein and layers of. we enjoyed our evening there and look forward to the return!

We came for cocktails at 5....so kreatiw and awesome! they stayed for dinner and had great steaks and burgers! also delicious brownies and ice cream for dessert

Recently there were several times coffee, lunch and dinner. big food made by local baker, tristan. I highly recommend his cinnamon, his pastell de nata, his scotch eggs (from black pudding) and his cakes. michael (the renter) serves good...Weine at a reasonable price as well as well maintained beer. his daughter mabel leads a fine team and the garden (below deck) is a safer and delightful area to enjoy so much.

Weekend in Bishopsteignton. Popped into the Old Commercial for a pint. Due to COVID restrictions waited a bit for a table no problem. Sat for 15 minutes, nobody came to take our order. Locals who arrived after us served at their table immediately by...the landlord. Ignored by his serving staff. People openly walking to the bar to be served despite COVID rules. Staff behind the bar weren't wearing masks. We ended up leaving before we were served. Avoid at all costs. I'd recommend the other two pubs in the village Cockhaven and Ring O' Bells excellent service, no problems, smashing the COVID rules and regs!
