The Harbour Fish Bar, established in 1989, is a long-standing traditional fish and chip takeaway in the heart of Teignmouth. Located in the town's vibrant Arts Quarter, just a 30-second walk from the bustling River Beach, we offer a classic British seaside experience. Open daily (except Sundays), we serve freshly prepared traditional fish and chips, along with a variety of other delicious takeaway treats.

Teignmouth's fish and chip scene presents a stark contrast of experiences, with some establishments earning high praise for their fresh, crispy fare and welcoming service, while others fall notably short. Diners report long queues as a promising sign of quality, often enjoying perfectly cooked fish and chips at reasonable prices. However, several reviews highlight disappointing offerings, with dry, soggy fish and undercooked chips, exacerbated by rude service. With such mixed feedback, discerning diners must navigate their options carefully to find a true seafood treasure amidst underwhelming choices.

This restaurant in Teignmouth is the best, we always bring our guests here because it never fails to impress.

The restaurant was overpriced for a serving of crispy batter and dry cod. While the batter made the dish appear appetizing, the lack of fish was disappointing. The restaurant did remove the cost of a cup of tea from the bill, but then added a service charge, which seemed excessive for a simple fish and chip shop. I do not plan on returning.
