Feedback
The staff at the restaurant were very welcoming and the food was delicious. We stopped in for lunch during our vacation and enjoyed it so much that we returned the following day.
The restaurant had a very limited menu, with both the steak and fish options unavailable. This left very few main dishes to choose from. There were no specials available either. The portions were small and expensive for what was received. The vegetables were uninteresting, consisting of just plain broccoli and carrots. Overall, I was very disappointed with the experience.
We went for lunch to celebrate my birthday and had a wonderful time. The welcome, the service, the food and the atmosphere were all top notch. I have no reservation in recommending this gem of a place.
My partner and I used to frequent this restaurant for many years and always enjoyed it. However, returning with our family, we found the experience to be disappointing. The menu lacks options for vegetarians, which is especially difficult when dining with a vegetarian child. The only option for a child's meal was a smaller version of an adult dish, showing a lack of creativity and attention to detail. Even after calling ahead to inquire about modifications, we were met with indifference. The atmosphere also felt dull and not suitable for children. Overall, we will stick to visiting as a couple and will not be returning as a family.
Food was very disappointing. The menu wasn't particularly varied to be honest. Two people had the ham pie, which came with a great dollop of non creamy mash, and a dish of unattractive whole unseasoned carrots and brocolli. The gnocchi was very stodgy. We had a visitor from Australia so not a good advert for our cuisine. Very pleasant staff though. 30th May 2023
