Was Steve Perkio at Keene Store Cafe a mag?
We got the coffee cake, country, fried steak and eggs, country potatoes and biscuit and gravy. Everything was just okay, the country fried steak is purchased, not hand assembled, also their corned beef hashes in a can so I didn't want that. The biscuit and gravy were both Fair, nothing exciting there to be seen. My coffee was pretty good. My partner's hot tea she said wasn't the best but we usually bring our own tea... A super surprise! On the way to Bakersfield at lunchtime we were looking for where to go...suddenly on the hill this sign...keene cafe...quick check on maps: high marks...off we go Great pastrami, great service...really very nice place Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Such a darling little cafe with a most beautiful outdoor seating area where the winds blow and the scenery is to die for. The food was very yummy too. Can’t wait to return. Showed online they were open so we drove 45 minutes to have lunch here. They were closed at 1:00pm but had people inside eating. Very disappointed

Friendly service, excellent food!!! A must go to if you like that old-fashioned classic nostalgic atmosphere! That's what brings me back here all the time! With mini-store that sells ceramic coffee mugs and t-shirts with their name on them. Oh and postcards too! Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast
