Was Anonym at Ruby Raja a mag?
Went to Ruby Raja for dinner, both my husband and i ordered the tasting plate. It was very nice and tasty, it was a little disappointing to only see 2 prawns in the prawn curry but overall it was a good experience and would come back. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Ruby Raja:
This restaurant is becoming a bit hit and miss as far as the service is concerned. The staff seemed to be having a grand old party out in the kitchen while we the customers were left wondering where our food was. A one and a half meal turned into three hours. However, I have to admit that the food was very good and ca't really be faulted. Indeed I would have to say that their beef vindaloo is one of the best in Adelai... View all feedback.

A great family business Indian restaurant. excellent eating to good trips. relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere.

Eating was nice, not cheap, but we had no complaints. food: 5 service: 5 atmosphere: 4

A beautiful Indian restaurant in an old home it seems. the staff was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. we had the banquet and it was more than enough per person. we will definitely eat again: 5 service: 5 atmosphere: 5.

Service was good, but eating was average, especially when lamb cuts are on the menu and when they get them Lamb cuts! pretty poor that many of the beers are not available on the menu and terrible gluggy rice. more than likely will not eat here again. service: dine in meal type: dinner price per person: $60–80

Not sure what's happening at Ruby's, been a long term fan for many years , always defending the slightly higher prices than other local Indian places, on the basis of great flavour and fabulous food. Recently noticing it has been declining and sadly after last night's experience of takeaway, wont be going back in a while, if it all. Really hope they manage to turn it around. it has been a great place in the past.

This was one of the worst meals we have ever experienced. Did not even eat most of the dishes! Definitely not Indian food! The interior of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, and we should have known when we could not even smell a curry smell when we entered. Don’t waste your money this is NOT AUTHENTIC Indian food! Terrible experience!

The food was lovely but we were very disappointed to be put at a table where it was in a main door way/ walkway . There were plenty of other tables that were vacant. It was hard to have a conversation with every few minutes there was someone walking past our table. It made the experience as Ruby Raja's not as good as it could of been

I've been coming here for years as I live so close and have always enjoyed it. The Ruby is still a lovely local...but no longer a favourite. I think the issue now is that the devotion to consistency has meant a reluctance to change. The decor is getting shabby and dated and it needs a serious revamp or even just a good clean. Some music playing while dining would be nice too. The food is still good (the Ruby Prawns are delicious! , but not as adventurous, diverse or delicious as other newer Indian eateries throughout Adelaide. It's actually just a bit boring, sorry. The sizes are also shrinking but prices increasing ie their tiny entree platters (not even worth ordering honestly ... Service and drinks list still excellent! While still a nice meal out, I think in future I'll probably only be coming here for the occasional takeaway and if I want a real Indian feast, go elsewhere.

I dined here on a Thursday night with a friend, the menu had a good range of choices and reasonably priced. I had been here quite a few years ago and was impressed then and was interested to see if the standards had been maintained and they had. It was fairly quiet which I thought was disappointing for the quality of the food, but did enable us to have a conversation without a lot of other noise. The service was good and the waitress was able to talk about the menu choices. There was also a good range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Recommend going there.

This used to be a great restaurant. Hadn't been for a few years and decided to go as a treat for my birthday. Well how disappointing. The food was ok, not as good as I remember, the service was slow and the waiter brought out the wrong meal (it was meant for the table next to us) I also saw them take the wrong drinks to another table. All the staff seemed to be having their first service. All of this would have been looked over if it wasn't for the prices. If you are going to charge these over the top prices you need to ensure the food is great and the service even better. Won't be going again.

The service at this restaurant was very welcoming and the food was top-notch. The curries were flavorful, the naan bread was perfectly cooked, and the appetizer we ordered was equally delicious. While the main courses were a bit expensive, the wonderful flavors more than made up for the cost. I would definitely return to sample more dishes as they all sounded so appetizing.

The food at this restaurant is always tasty and the service is excellent. While prices have been increasing over time, it still offers great value. I highly recommend the thali plate for its variety and value, and the Ruby prawns are a must-try house speciality. It may be pricier than other Indian restaurants, but the limited menu focuses on Westernized classics rather than authentic Indian dishes.

It was difficult to find a nearby car park at this restaurant, but once inside the lovely old building, it was quite cosy on a chilly winter Saturday evening. We wished we had been offered drinks when we were seated. The four of us enjoyed some pappadams with mint chutney as a starter while waiting for our dinner. The portion was generous for $5.50, and we were provided with more mint chutney when it quickly ran out. For our main dishes, we shared butter chicken, fish masala, pumpkin curry, dahl, steamed rice, and naan for dipping in the delicious gravies. All of the dishes were good, and I couldn't pick a favorite. The staff were cheerful despite being very busy. My only complaint is that the food could have been hotter when brought out as it seemed to go cold very quickly.

Had the pakora entrees tasty and fresh. Beef Vindaloo very hot and spicy, good size serve. Friendly attentive servers, overall enjoyable, fuss free dinner.

Very nice Indian food, good atmosphere and good service. Set an older style building with an intimate feel and separate dining areas. Service was friendly...
