What User doesn't like about Bao Now:
As mentioned in other reviews, the bao bread is not vegan, and they have few vegan sauces. The Vega bao in a lettuce wrap had excellent fried tofu, but we found the name misleading. Plain fries were begging for ketchup or sauce. View all feedback.
So stoked to have found this place for lunch in Te Anau yesterday. Everything on their menu sounded delicious and loved that they had plenty of gluten free options (including their epic karaage chicken sushi bowl Cool wee setup, reasonably priced, staff were awesome and good music playing so all round great experience thanks guys, highly recommend

I have a confession: we stayed in Te Anau for five days, and made excuses to eat at Bao Now five times. We left this morning and I'm already sulking about not having any more tomorrow.Tip for vegetarians: the Breaky bao without bacon is AMAZING. I preferred it to the tofu bao.
Fantastic. they could tell me exactly what was in every order and how to fulfill my food restriction (dairy free). Aioli sauce is.
