A homey restaurant with comfort food dishes. The price is also quite reasonable. The parking lot can be improved a bit but with a former Hill Station chef at the kitchen, the restaurant serves familiar, good home cooked meals View all feedback.
I visited this restaurant for the second time in less than two weeks with my big family. Both experiences were delightful. The food was excellent and the service was personal. I highly recommend the paella, callos, carbonara, garlic chicken, cheesy chicken dip, BBQ ribs, Sans Rival, and moist chocolate cake. We left feeling very full and satisfied.
My wife and I recently dined at this restaurant and left feeling completely satisfied. We not only enjoyed our meal, but also couldn't resist purchasing some of their delicious offerings to take home, despite being too full to try them at the time. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! We also ordered some Christmas treats as gifts a few weeks later. On our daughter's first birthday, we requested a cake from Margot & Benjie with real strawberries for our baby. We were thrilled with the result and have decided to make Casa Abuela our go-to bakery for our little one's birthday cakes every year!
Fresh from a wedding reception, we tried to grab some steaming hot of coffee and pastries on the way home. From Marikina, we traversed through the roads of Antipolo searching for the perfect spot. The thought of Abuelita's came to mind after a few failed attempts a few months back. At last we found the place. A bit obscured, perharps the reason why missed it the previous times. The place is so homey. We immediately took our seats and ordered for Cafe Americano (they serve UCC coffee) and Sans Rival and Brazo de Mercedes. The coffee is just right (only 50 pesos per cup) but the Brazo de Mercedes (also, 50 pesos per slice) is so yummy. It's not that sweet and is just perfect for coffee. Sans Rival for me is the best as it reminded me of the ones being served in a famous Kapampangan Restaurant in QC (they no longer sell that now). It actually evoked some fond memories and for me, that was just great. We were so happy, I even ordered for those yummy treats to take home to my kids plus a pack of their mini ensaymadas (also 50 pesos). The owner is very accommodating and asked us to try their meals (callos and paella) next time. He was so friendly and made us feel so at home. This is one good find in the hills. Totally unpretentious and will not disappoint. Plus points for not being expensive. We will be back for sure!
Place is cozy. Their staff is very accommodating. I love their leche flan and cream puff! They deliver too.
The ambiance was nice and it makes you feel happy while eating. The food was simply great and definitely it's worth a try.
