Amazing! From the moment we walked in we were treated like VIP's. Our server, Matt, was friendly, attentive and so great! Emma was awesome as well! The food is the best Italian I've ever had. And the tiramisu and raspberry creme brulee are out of this world! Who knew Taylor, Texas had become so fancy? ???? View all feedback.

This was our first time dining at La Scala and it won?t be our last as the food and service were both excellent! Definitely some of the best Italian food I?ve had in Central Texas, so if you?re looking for a non chain restaurant for a date night or family dinner this is your place!

The food and ambiance at La Scala are wonderful. Some of the best meals I?ve had have been here! The menu rotates, so there?s always something new and equally as delicious to try! Parking and seating are a breeze, and they accept reservations. But the real star of the La Scala show is Ruby. She?s everything good and wonderful about community and making people feel seen and welcomed. If you?re lucky enough to sit in her section, you?re guaranteed to have a wonderful night. So very grateful to have such a lovely small business in Taylor!

A new found gem. I didn?t think this cuisine was possible for Taylor, Texas. We ordered the crostini, calabrian pizza and carbonara with a bottle of the opportunist wine and a porter beer. All equally delicious. Almost forgot about the Brussels those were made to perfection great flavor. The pizza was so crispy but not burnt and the cheese to bread ratio is perfect 10/10. We will definitely be returning!

Very, very good scratch Italian food! We got the French press, risotto, carbonara, and panna cotta. Everything was amazing! The chicken on the risotto was cooked perfectly and I really liked the herb topping, it paired very well with everything else. Boyfriend loved the carbonara and that might be his usual from now on. The panna cotta is made with Texas peaches, feels like you're eating a rain cloud, and the praline topping is deliciousssss. Definitely get it if it's available and you like peaches! It's not too heavy and perfect for after dinner. The waiters were all very nice and the executive chef really cares about the quality of food they make here. We'll definitely be coming back! Beware of their hours though. Highly recommend confirming they're open on Google before you start driving.

Little Italian gem in downtown Taylor. Seasonal menu and delicious pastas pair well with their extensive wine list!

I had the spinach ravioli. No sauce. 5 specks of cheese. Flavor was there, easy fixes. Fix this it will be a 5. Tea not good either.

I had to take a table outside since inside tables were reserved. Portions weren't overly large. Started with bread and oil. Food was delicious. Staff was kind and service was great.

La Scala is a hidden gem! Absolutely loved the spinach and mushroom ravioli. We tried their raspberry creme brûlée, and it was the best!

My dining experience was fantastic. Our server, Sabrina, was incredibly charming and attentive, catering to our every need. The food was exceptional - the best Italian cuisine I've had in quite some time. Parking was convenient with plenty of spots within walking distance.

The Italian food at this restaurant is delicious and the atmosphere is lovely, however, some of the items listed on the online menu were not available or no longer served.

I only tried the pasta dish during my visit, but I have a strong feeling that the pappardelle pasta was made in house due to its perfect texture and shape. The high-quality shrimp and crayfish tail complemented the dish well, with the shrimp providing a satisfying snap with each bite. The delicious sauce tied everything together, striking a perfect balance between comforting home-cooked flavors and refined culinary expertise. I will definitely be returning to La Scala in the future.

Wow, what happened to this place? When we last visited in Nov 2022, we thought it was one of the best Italian meals we had ever had. The Caesar salad was amazing, the service was great, the main courses were incredible.Tonight, we came back and have never been so surprised and disappointed with how things have changed. The bread was incredibly salty and rock hard. Tasted like it came out of a box. The Caesar salad was terrible. The dressing was thin as water and had about the same amount of flavor. And somehow it was served with bacon...? Very poor choice. The prosciutto flatbread was simply not good. The sauce tasted like it came out of a jar.In the 25 minutes we then waited for our food, we realized that all the plates and glasses were from IKEA.Then the main courses came out and they were just as disappointing. The Coq au Vin either had no chicken in it at all, or it was completely overpowered by what seemed like canned beef stew. It was also served without a spoon, so we had to try eating it with a fork. It was inedible with how salty it was. The New York Strip was just as bad. I've had better steaks at outback, and they didn't cost $35. Everything on the plate was so salty as of to mask the bland flavor. Also, the steak was pre sliced, but was served without a steak knife and the pieces were too big to eat without cutting. The service was sub-par as well, especially for a $95 meal. We won't be back, and that's such a disappointment since our first visit was excellent. There must have been a change of management because everything seemed like they were simply cutting corners.
