We went for dinner last night, hubby booked a table by the fire, it was toasty and warm. We were in and out in under an hour with entree and main and a couple of drinks,Perfect. Food is good pub food nothing super flash but yummy, filling and fresh. I've seen Dan turn around another small town pub and this is just the same. Really disappointed... have eaten here previously and was lovely . Biggest problem was exceptionally long wait for food .... and then to be told they couldn't accommodate my order .. food finally arrived and was stodgy and the salad was limp and not a spot of dressing in sight ... my husband ordered the fish ... same deal and no tartare... this was a function so they new numbers to cater for.... We spent the night in our caravan on the grounds behind the restaurant. We enjoyed a delicious meal and dessert, served by a friendly and cheerful young waitress. Overall, it was a great evening. Thank you.
The restaurant has delicious food and a spacious beer garden. The pub dog, Percy, is very friendly and only 10 months old. He has recently learned to rest his head on your lap for food, so please refrain from feeding him to avoid encouraging this behavior.
The Plough Inn offers excellent overnight pub stays. The food served here is top-notch, far surpassing your typical bland pub fare. I particularly enjoyed the creamy chicken pie, which was piping hot and full of flavor. The cozy atmosphere of the inn, along with the friendly staff, made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. I would highly recommend a visit to The Plough Inn for a 5+ star experience.
Great pub. Fantastic food. Very welcoming. Owners and staff are just the best. Just love the Plough. We will pop in every time we are up that way. Well done Phil and Cate!
What a fabulous location had a lovely meal to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary siting out in the beer garden. Friendly service at a beautiful historic pub. Highly recommend will definitely be back.
