World Cup Cafe - Taos

The drinks here are incredibly delicious, and on top of that, I felt like I was standing up against the patriarchy just by being a customer!

This is a cash, check or venmo only business at the heart of downtown Taos. They serve different kinds of mocha and other hot drinks. We ordered the Mocha Negra and Mocha with orange zest. We liked both very much. They're not too sweet and goes well withtheir coffee cakes. Comes in three sizes and customizable for vegan customers.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was impeccable, and their latte was superb. I even returned two hours later for another orange mocha topped with fresh orange zest. I highly recommend this place!

Went into this shop for a coffee after visiting the Farmers market. The ladies that run this Cafe are incredible..helpful, friendly, and quite funny. They don't take credit cards, which keeps the prices low, bonus!!!! We opted for an iced caramelmachiatto, don't judge the spelling,lol...it was stellar. Better than any other I've had in recent memory. Run, don't walk tothis Cafe!!

We politely asked for a sleeve because the drink he prepared was extremely hot (which is fine; we enjoy a hot beverage), and he curtly replied, "We don’t have those." I then requested another cup to help contain the heat, and he bluntly told me, "No, I can’t do that for you." At this point, I couldn’t help but wonder if his behavior had anything to do with our race or our cowboy hats. Honestly, we have no idea what was going on. It was just so bizarre. Thinking he might agree to sell us an extra cup, I asked again, this time feeling a bit frustrated. His response? "No, I won’t do that for you." Not "can’t," but "won’t." Wow. We know that Taos isn’t particularly famous for great customer service, but this was truly shocking. While the coffee was decent, the quality of service was unacceptable, and I definitely cannot recommend this place. Ouch.
