Taos Java
Taos Java
Description
A cozy Taos coffeehouse praised for warm, friendly service, generous breakfast burritos and tempting pastries, with a convenient drive-thru and early hours that make it a favorite for locals, skiers and visitors. Clean, welcoming decor and helpful staff (even assisting with security-camera footage) add to the charm. However, guests report inconsistent coffee quality—burnt or oversteamed lattes—and some microwave-prepared items and premade smoothies, so expectations for barista polish and freshness can vary.

I only ordered a Café au Lait here and didn't try any food, but I did notice they offered vegan options. The coffee was excellent, and they prepared it just as I requested, using non-dairy milk. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind; they even provided fresh water and two complimentary dog biscuits for my furry friend. The atmosphere, both indoors and on the patio, was relaxed and pleasant. The prices are reasonable for a tourist-driven city and comparable to Starbucks.
Charming little coffee shop with wonderful food and excellent service. The breakfast burrito was massive and incredibly tasty. If I lived in the area, this would definitely be my go-to coffee spot.
This is a really charming coffee shop! Their breakfast burrito and green chile quiche are fantastic. We tried an iced coffee, a smoothie, and a latte too. We will definitely return!
We visited on Easter Sunday, and it was the best. The staff were so kind and the service was excellent. We got the burritos- be aware these are monster sized perfect for fueling up before a long day of skiing! D efinitely a must stop for a coffee lover in Taos
