Description
An iconic Taos spot, Adobe Bar pairs historic charm and nightly live music with creative New Mexican dishes and expertly mixed cocktails—the chile relleno, blue-corn enchiladas and green-chile stew stand out. The space feels like the town’s living room: cozy, buzzing and full of locals and tourists. Expect a small, sometimes cramped bar, pricey portions and inconsistent, often rushed service; the kitchen and seating can be limited after music ends. Best for those seeking atmosphere, music and bold flavors rather than flawless service.

I was a guest at the inn, not a patron of the bar per se. But I did hear the singer while checking in and once I was in my room, which was just steps away from where he was singing. He was good. And he stopped singing at 9pm, which was good for the overnight guests who wanted to get some sleep. I think this place has live music every night. I also went up to the bar to get my ice bucket filled. The very handsome bartender filled my bucket and thanked me for staying at the inn. He made my middle age self feel like a million bucks. The building is beautiful and old and historic. Go for the architecture and the music and the handsome bartender.
Clint is one of the best bartenders ever. Perfect drinks and a fun guy. He suggested Docs Relleno appetizer and it was delicious. Adobe Bar has been around since the 1930s and lives up to its longstanding great reputation. Live music and dancing added to my evening's enjoyment. Highly recommended.
Service is sub par. Food is borderline awful. Be prepared to wait 30 min to get a server. Food tastes microwaved. Would not recommend. There are other better choices nearby.
