Was miguel at Adobe a mag?
We discovered the best margaritas in Taos here! I highly recommend trying the Hot Mama Marg and the Cowboy Buddha Marg. While we only had drinks, the food that was served at other tables looked fantastic. The waitstaff is exceptional, making it a great place to relax and unwind. View all feedback.

What Craig Freeman dislikes about Adobe:
We waited over an hour for a table at Doc Martin's, but since the Adobe Bar had immediate seating and offered the Doc Martin menu, we decided to grab a table there instead. The food was quite good, but the service was terrible! One of the drinks we ordered was incorrect, despite the server confirming it when we placed the order. Overall, it was not a positive experience. View all feedback.

This is another bar/restaurant that limped out of the pandemic to become worse than ever. Positive our 19yo inexperienced waitress was on drugs. She mentioned that the kitchen hadn 't noticed our order, which is 100% nonsense since she brought out a giant plate of nachos that had clearly been sitting under the heat lamp for quite awhile. Getting your desserts from the food truck and attempting to pass them off as authentic when it doesn 't resemble tres leches cake (which is one of the simplest peasant desserts ever, btw) doesn 't cut it for locals or tourists. We 're local and just moved back. Unfortunate to see that the Adobe Bar has fallen to the degree that the staff is worse than ever and so is the overpriced food, but we 've been told this is a reflection of how many hospitality professionals left the area in the past few years. This place is a tourist trap; it 's not the living room of Taos. Do better. We used to enjoy the music and sitting outside on the patio, but seriously, the service and food at Adobe Bar have gotten worse so we don 't plan to go back. It 's definitely a bar with historic status; but this doesn 't change the fact that poor hiring practices coupled with sub-par food makes it an adequate choice to frequent. The location is great, but you 're coasting on a reputation that 's no longer valid. Locals know this; I give praise where praise is due.

Wish I would have gotten to try the food and drink. Great reviews. I sat at a table for 15-20 minutes. Server walked by me several times and never even acknowledged me. Walked out and went somewhere else. I have edited my review to reflect the quick response from management. Thanks

We came for a romantic dinner at the bar expecting a much nicer experience. The wait staff were super rushed and had no time or niceties for us. The food wasn’t as good as we hoped for, we had the chille rellano and the shrimp mushroom tacos. We said we were sharing both dishes however the tacos came with just 3 miny tacos. When we asked for another one the kitchen was closed and it was a big issue to bring another one. The ambience was good initially with great live music however once the musician finished playing around 9.30p they started cleaning, turning on lights and hurrying us out. A disappointing experience.

The place was fairly packed for a Monday evening. The Margaritas were tasty, but I'm used to getting them in a large goblet. The Chile relleno was excellent, as was the chips/salsa/guacamole. I'd recommend!
