La Baia Di Rapisardi Patrizia

Having dined delightfully at ristorante Du Giovanni for two evenings, we decided we ought to give another restaurant a try before we left. So we tried La Baia which was only two doors away and had choices to suit everyone. Two of our party opted for pizza 1 Marguerita and one with ham, egg, and tomato. Both were thin based and were good. I opted for risotto with shrimp. It arrived with two langoustines in their shells on top. So it looked great. But there was very little other seafood amidst the rice. The risotto was not well seasoned, but it was OK. Our 4th person ordered grilled swordfish. The slice was very thin and it seemed over cooked to the point where it was very dry. The house wine was twice the price of a better house wine in the other restaurant. So it was a disappointing meal all around. However, the final insult came when having paid the bill, as presented at €67, we were in the process of sorting out the tip. The waiter came out, said there was a problem with the bill, took it away and said they had miscalculated and we owed another €34!! This meant that a LESS good meal and LESS good wine had cost is €25 MORE than the better meals at Du Giovanni just up the road!!! Need I say we would NOT be recommending anyone to visit this restaurant.

With peas and egg. Thin, perfect crust. Wow. Excellent. Before our pizza, a wine/ginger drink is served complimentary. Very good service and value.

Service was good. The food was delicious and was prepared reasonably quickly. My children ate the spaghetti and loved it. I would go again .

The food is good here. Service and the people who work here are good. Nice view. You won't be disappointed in their pizza :
