We have come here about 8 years ago. had the cook menu at the time and again yesterday at night. we live in west victoria and are on the way back from a central Australian / eyre half island vacation. we decided in the last minute to come back and stay tanunda for a night and the main reason was so that we could come back here. it was again excellent, 3 entrees and 3 nets, with a beautiful bottle henschke wein wash. service was great, eat so delicious and we were very full. will certainly be back again when we come back through the barossa for a sleep.
The restaurant was recommended to us by Alyssa from the information centre and she was spot on. You walk into what was a beautiful house that has dining rooms off the hallway and then out the back a more modern section which was still cosy...and beautiful. Then you are given the wine “novel”. Never have I seen a wine list like it. Be prepared, the wines aren’t cheap, but when you are in a place this exquisite, you need wines to match. The food was to die for. We had 2 entrees to share and 2 mains to share, all of which were fantastic. The flavour bombs in your mouth keep going off. I told my partner we need to win lotto and head here every year for our anniversary!
