I've low scored the service as although everything was perfect, the bar closed at 10pm on a Friday 2 weeks before Christmas. Seriously??? Rooms: Better than The Felbridge Hotel, or anywhere else locally. Food and drinks: Food was good. Small but varied menu, good flavour, right temperature, service timely and friendly. Chose the Wiremill for a friend's reunion. Great food, excellent beer in the evening followed by a nice Full English the following morning. Rooms well appointed and comfy, if a little warm. This was a return visit and I'd happily come again. Service: 5
Not impressed with brunch at The Wiremill this morning. Order was eggs on wholemeal toast with extra grilled tomatoes and hash browns. Plate arrived with white bread. When staff were asked about choice of wholemeal not being given, the explanation was they had run out. Surely this should have been explained before the food was served. Also there was one half a tomato and the eggs were overcooked. I would not return there.
Excellent food, generous portions, and attentive service. We were served by Jack, who was very polite and efficient. The camembert starter was delicious, and extra sourdough was offered before we had to ask. The main meals, roasts, with well cooked meat and lots of extra gravy.
