Trinity cafe serves meals to the homeless or needy 365 days a yr. Lunch is served from 11:30-12:30 M-F, Sat and Sunday 9am-10am.The food is always delicious and there is always a large serving. They have a great variety on the menu daily and it's cooked to perfection. Salad, drinks, fruit and and snack is always included with the entree.The seating is inside at a table with a table cloth and the food is brought to your seat. There are 6 seats at each table with 12 tables in the dining room. No one is turned away.Wonderful group of volunteers serve the people and clean up afterward.This is a blessing to the people in need, and it's done with such joy and love.
One of my favorite places to be! They serve a free full service meal to anyone who is willing to wait in line. They serve lunch through the week, breakfast on the weekends.
The restaurant has both strengths and weaknesses. The meals are delicious, and the volunteers are wonderful, but the portion sizes can be inconsistent. One person might receive a generous serving, while the person sitting next to them might get only a tiny amount. Additionally, it would be helpful to have someone overseeing the line to prevent others from cutting in at the last minute before the doors open. The security measures also leave much to be desired.
I love the work they do.
I had a great time assisting with lunch service and would highly recommend volunteering.
