Muchachas - Tampa
Muchachas
Description
Nestled in the vibrant Armature Works, this restaurant offers a mixed bag of experiences, primarily centered around its birria tacos. While service shines through with friendly staff who handle mistakes with genuine apologies, diners have noted inconsistencies in the food quality. Some rave about the flavor-packed quesabirria tacos, while others lament the lack of seasoning and overpriced portions. The atmosphere, with ample seating and a waterfront view, adds charm, but high prices and occasional mix-ups detract from the overall experience. Though it has its fans, improvements in food consistency and value could elevate its appeal even further.

There was also a mix-up at the counter where our tray of tacos was given to a customer who ordered after us. The staff quickly realized their mistake and offered us a free drink to make up for the error, although we had already purchased drinks with our order. The staff seemed genuinely apologetic for the wait, which was appreciated. The dining area was a food court, and I encountered an unpleasant situation with someone who thought I had taken their unassigned table. My suggestion for improvement would be to focus on enhancing the quality of the tacos and avoiding preventable mistakes in the future.
I traveled from Anderson, SC to visit this restaurant. I absolutely loved my large burrito bowl! The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious taste of the food at this restaurant. You order at the counter and then find a seat. The Market offers a nice atmosphere with ample indoor and outdoor seating. The prices are a bit high, but you are paying for the waterfront location in Tampa. Overall, we had a positive experience.
We travel all the way from Orlando to eat here! So worth the trip! They make the tacos fresh to order and they are always consistent!! Our favorite is the one with consomé!
Decent Mexican food at this place located in Armature Works, but nothing to write home about. The tacos were average and probably could have used a bit more seasoning. The street corn looked good, but was too spicy and was slightly cold. The queso was probably the best of everything we ordered. Service was excellent and food was relatively quick given the line.
