I can't fault the food at the fish net. It's always fresh,hot and reasonably priced. I have one grip that has happened on more than one occasion. I get half an hour for my lunch, so I'm usually in a rush. The guy that serves you (covered in tattoos) is pleasant.... But if there are young girls in front of you, your in for a long wait. Went last Thursday dinnertime. 2nd day of trading since reopening. Ordered fish and chips. The fish batter had no real colour and was really soggy. Worst fish I have ever had by a long chalk, and the chips were not much better. Would give it 2/10 and that's being generous. Cost £5. They seriously need to up their game. The Fishnet is amazing! My family and I have been going there for what feels like forever, and we have never been disappointed. We know some of the staff, past and present, and they are all fantastic. The food is top-notch, the best in Tameside, and the prices are reasonable. The service is excellent as well. I highly recommend The Fishnet - you won't be disappointed. The only other place I trust for fish is in Blackpool. If you don't like the food here, you might want to see a doctor because there must be something wrong with your taste buds.
The service at this restaurant was unpleasant and aggravating. From the moment you enter, you are immediately pushed to place your order. The staff is inexperienced and immature, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Despite the food being enjoyable, the behavior of the employees tarnished the overall reputation. I do not plan on returning for another visit.
There are a lot of leftovers and the chips were terrible. The quality has significantly declined recently while the prices have gone up. It seems like they are prioritizing profits over quality.
Great fish n chips and they do small portions which is also good my only concern is that the seating is a bit low and they don't catter for disabled people pram or pushchairs it's a very poor seating arrangements but overall very good
Lovely clean cafe, lovely freshly cooked food, they sell smaller portions too, sometimes it's awkward asking for a child's portion for a pensioner, no problem here...... Keep up the good work Fishnet.

Come in the week, always enjoy the fish chips. the fish is cooked for perfection. friendly staff too.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and my best friend, who sadly passed away from lung cancer, mentioned how much her associates brought a smile to her day. Thank you for providing such joy to them.
The fish I had was possibly the best I've ever tasted, and the chips were great too! My mother enjoyed it so much that she ordered another piece of fish.
Very nice fish and chips! £6 for fish, chips, draught, brot and a drink. good portions, clean and beautiful staff. the rest in the dining room is closed.
The best fish and chips in Ashton/Manchester! I've been coming here for 19 years and absolutely love it.
