Although the gate was unlocked and no sign saying do not enter.The seating was at "Bunnings plastic chairs and tables", quite uncomfortable, and we were advised the chef had called in sick, so the choice would be pizza or pasta.The pizzas were very good, and the bowl of chips costing $8/10 crispy but i think dear.Nice place to visit, dont think we would rush back.

We made the mistake of ordering one each [one size only] and as I couldn’t finish mine,the staff were happy to pack it up and we took it back to our cottage to have the next day. The pasta the next day was also very delicious and enjoyable. There is a menu for light meals, they serve afternoon tea, scrumptious scones, and the evening meals offer pizza, pasta and specialty dishes. The alcoholic drinks are well priced with good choices of wines. Bookings are advisable as they get very busy. Staff were very attentive and meals came out promptly. A great venue. NB: The restaurant is open Wed-Sun only, closed Mon and Tues.

The crust was the perfect base for the flavorful herb medley on top. For my main course, I had perfectly cooked prawns, though the salad was a bit basic and overdressed. The service was incredibly personal, with the owners themselves cooking and serving the meals - all inside a windmill! I highly recommend this place for a summer evening, sitting on the deck under the windmill and enjoying the cool breeze from the nearby lake. It's a charming and intimate dining spot with exceptional service, located off the beaten path in a wooded area. Be sure to make a reservation in advance.
