What Christopher Conn doesn't like about Main Street Grill Bbq:
I passed this many times on the way to the gorge and I finally went and ate there and was highly dissatisfied . The food was bland and highly expensive . You could get a steak dinner for the same price as a meal here even. I think the only reason it’s still in business is it being right beside one of the best attractions in our state . Food was great and they welcomed us and our little dog. We will definitely go back again. Thank you guys.Ralph DebbieSocial Circle,
My wife and I had the worst experience here. Sure, it’s close to a wonderful attraction, which is probably what allows for them to have the business they do. Sure, it looks cute and quaint on the outside, but the food is well below average. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s decent food, but for the pricing, I could’ve taken my wife to a steak restaurant. The quality of the food isn’t necessarily an issue, but the quantity and the price. When you get fast, food, restaurant food, you expect fast food prices, when you go to a hole in the wall barbecue, you expect prices to match, not like they were some fine dining steak, restaurant. They have barbecue in their name, but hardly have any barbecue on the menu whatsoever. I think one item? The catfish I ordered, was, however, good, when it finally came out. Our first order, came out, almost a half hour later, and when we asked why, the server said “I’m sorry, we all hate it here. I think we’re just having a rough week.” Which seemed odd. As we were eating, I noticed what appeared to be dog hair on my fish. I waved down (what turned out to be the manager/owner) and pointed it out, and her response was “well, what do you expect? We are dog friendly…” and was snarky about it. When I asked for a fresh piece, she gave me an attitude, but brought me one regardless. (Which tasted decent)My wife and I both manage in the restaurant industry, so the servers response still bothered me. I watched the owner speak very rudely to her staff, throughout the remainder there. So I did some research, and asked around and found that multiple members of her staff has quit recently. They were not fired, they quit. She accuses people of making fake reviews, when, in reality, if you notice, she does not respond to the poor reviews, but goes out of her way to respond to the positive reviews, and even berates her past employees in the comments, which is extremely unprofessional, regardless of the situation. Personally, I feel like the positive reviews may be more fake than the negative ones.Deeper diving, resulted in finding some unsettling Facebook posts. Ones that include her and her staff. She can be seen making fun of someone’s funeral, making jokes about an employees child dying, and then fat shaming.Everyone is entitled to form their own opinion, but this is ours: Main Street Grill BBQ isn’t that summer we will be returning again. Food is average, for exquisite pricing. Wait is long, not due to popularity, but mistreated staff. We encourage everyone to do their own research before visiting.
We quit because she is shady and never paid us hourly. And the day we all quit she refused to pay us so we all walked out.
Terrible owner, makes fun of child then wishes death upon them....
Not good doesn 't even begin to explain this establishment. the manager is a beyond rude, please don 't take your children here if you want them to be able to enjoy their dinner in a peaceful, safe environment.
