What User doesn't like about Pupuseria El Comalito:
cried about 10 times at 11 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. to command, did not go to the restaurant and they told me that they did not answer because they were not ready and it took about 40 minutes to prepare my food? terrible type of management and I was a faithful customer, but their lack of dringiness sent me to another restaurant! The Pupusa were okay. I had all vegetarians. The taste was bland. I also have a few different deserts. I wasn't impressed. But I enjoyed making them.
The restaurant was very busy on a Friday night around 8:00 p.m. The waiter was patient while we asked questions about various foods native to El Salvador. We ordered pasteles de carne y muchos pupusas. We also had horchata and tamarindo drinks. The food was freshly made so there was a bit of a wait for the pupusas. My boyfriend who likes horchata said it had a uniquely nutty taste, which he enjoyed. The tamarindo was a good mix of sour and sweet. I would recommend this place because the pupusas are inexpensive and my salvadoreño coworker said there were authentic!
Great place for the family.pupusas are the best I ever have them about 15 species. The service is great sopa de res is very good, well balanced, lots of vegetables, I counted 8 vegetables. It packs a stamp for lunch. You gave enough cow meat to the soup to get the umani taste. My son tries the Tamarindo, it was really good, it tastes fresh. Will definitely go back to try other offers...
Extremely disappointed w this place. First of all, my order came half missing. Second, taste pretty plain. Third, look at the picture yourself. Bought some tamales, and it is basically made of corn and bones.. no meat at all. Ridiculous.
Best in the DMV. The pupusas are fresh, the chicharrones are so tender that you don't need to cut with the knife, and the plátanos are fresh with just the right crispy around the edge. The pictures cannot do El Comalito justice. The prices are fair which make it worth the trip.
