I loved it here. we ordered ramen (for die,) maki and gioza. amazing, so authentic cost. the ambiente was really modern. the limonade was great. a little expensive, but I guess it was worth it. I'm sure it's coming back.
I was never a fan of ramen until I tried their Tantanmen. It is incredibly rich and flavorful. The other ramen options are consistently good with rich, flavorful broth, generous portions of pork, and perfectly cooked eggs. While I may not be an expert on ramen, I would confidently say that this place is likely in the top 5 for any ramen enthusiast in Makati or BGC.
This is an exceptional ramen restaurant. When we visited on Tuesday night, it wasn't crowded, and we enjoyed excellent service with our meals arriving promptly. The broth was truly remarkable. They provide two options for noodle firmness, and I chose the medium option. I ordered the classic tonkotsu, which features just the pork belly, while the special includes an egg, seaweed, and various other toppings. The kids also thoroughly enjoyed their ramen and gave it their stamp of approval! We had just returned from Japan too.
Ippudo is also famous for its side dishes, and my favorites include their okonomiyaki, nanban karaage, and deep-fried gyoza. While all of these are excellent companions to ramen, I believe the okonomiyaki stands out the most with its hearty texture that perfectly complements the smooth, rich broth of their ramen. I must admit, while writing this review, I realized how forgetful I was—I forgot to take pictures of my akamaru ramen and my friend’s karakamen! Oops!
The ramen here is quite tasty, and the restaurant is spacious and well-maintained. However, there was no central air conditioning during our visit—just a few machines and fans near some tables. I really appreciate a place that serves a perfectly soft-boiled egg, and I also like that you can choose the firmness of your noodles.
