Ippudo is also famous for its side dishes, and my favorites include their okonomiyaki, nanban karaage, and deep-fried gyoza. While all of these are excellent companions to ramen, I believe the okonomiyaki stands out the most with its hearty texture that perfectly complements the smooth, rich broth of their ramen. I must admit, while writing this review, I realized how forgetful I was—I forgot to take pictures of my akamaru ramen and my friend’s karakamen! Oops!

The ramen here is quite tasty, and the restaurant is spacious and well-maintained. However, there was no central air conditioning during our visit—just a few machines and fans near some tables. I really appreciate a place that serves a perfectly soft-boiled egg, and I also like that you can choose the firmness of your noodles.

The BEST ramen in the world's most empty Ippudo!! The reasons for the emptiness are 1) this one is very new, 2) the area is still somewhat deserted thanks to a ton of constructions going on, 3) who eats ramen when it's 95f 38c outside with high humidity... Since it's best ramen it needs no introduction, but some tips: 1) Whatever you order, don't forget to add the signature fresh garlic on your noodles, 2) Unless your teeth are bad, order your noodles hard and I'm sure you'll like it!

Ippudo has introduced a new ramen dish called Clam Chowder Ramen. Being a bit traditional, I usually prefer my ramen to be simple and unadorned. However, this unusual creation intrigued me enough to give it a shot. In hindsight, it's probably one of the biggest ramen-related regrets I've ever had. This bowl seemed to attempt to incorporate everything – it combined tonkotsu broth with clams, potatoes, grated cheese, and bacon, and even had a drizzle of truffle oil. In fact, I can't recall ever enjoying a bowl of clam chowder with truffle oil. When I finished my meal, the server approached me looking concerned and asked how it was. I wanted to be polite, so I nodded and said it was good, but deep down I wished I had stuck with one of my three beloved original Ippudo flavors.

However, just take a look at my seating situation. There’s a huge air conditioning unit blowing directly down into my bowl of soup. Can you guess what happened next? Water from the AC dripped straight onto my food. Is this some kind of joke? I’m sharing two pictures because, of course, when I complained about the water dripping into my meal, they moved me directly under the ONLY OTHER AC unit that’s positioned right above my ramen! What on earth is going on here?
