What Thalia Johnston doesn't like about Abe Serendra:
Used to be a favorite restaurant but service has been declining. The dishes at this restaurant are exceptional and remind you of home-cooked flavors. One day, while working long hours at our office in BGC and craving some comfort food, I decided to try the Abe menu. I tried the Suam na Mais, Baby Squid in olive oil, Pinakbet, and Bangus Belly Sinigang, and each dish was a winner. The baby squid was incredibly tender, the vegetables were crispy, and the soup flavors were warm and authentic, making me close my eyes and savor every bite. I am eager to try other items on the menu in the future.
I was with my Family and ate our lunch in this restaurant. Abe Serendra was one of our favorite, pure filipino dishes with a twist, like the tilapia, it was served extra ordinarily, so yummy for me because its my favorite dish. Lamb adobo as...well taste so good. Other dishes was a good taste as well. Thumbs up for this restaurant! We will be back many times.
During this visit, we tried the Lamb Adobo, Coconut Prawns, and Squid prepared in a gambas style. The squid/gambas dish was the standout winner of the meal. Each dish showcased excellent flavor and high-quality cooking techniques that have made this restaurant famous. While some of their dishes have been copied and enhanced by others, Abe remains a top dining destination for its cuisine. The service was friendly and attentive.
ABE is a restaurant located in BGC, along a street filled with various eateries. The name ABE translates to "my friend" in Kapampangan, one of the dialects in the Philippines. After a shopping spree, we decided to have dinner at ABE and tried their specialties from Pampanga. We ordered the fried tilapia fish, which was beautifully presented on a platter, giving the illusion of the fish flying. It was a creative touch. We also tried the pastil, sautéed bitter melon with ground beef, and ended the meal with dessert. Overall, it was a delicious and satisfying dinner.
