Albergo Florida - TAGGIA

Nice terrace on the main square. We had very good fresh pasta: a succulent vegetarian carbonara, and a red beetroot pasta.

We've from France and have visited Taggia a number of times, always staying at the Albergo Florida. I'm shocked that this hotel is only one star as it is far nicer, cleaner and more spacious than most 3 star french hotels! No kidding! Our rooms always have a balcony that you can walk out on to and look over the town. The beds are comfortable and the rooms very clean. Bathrooms are big and the towels are nice and not worn out! We've been staying on the low season and the rates have been 55€ a night. A great deal in my mind. The best part though is the restaurant! There is almost always a crowd there and after visiting, you can understand why. The food is simple and delicious. The atmosphere is ITALIAN! and friendly! The hosts always come to your table with a smile and food is served up very quickly. Be prepared for copious servings! There's always a pasta starter, main course, desert and the bottle of wine on the table is there is you would like...all included in the amazing price of 12.50€. That's right! 12.50€ I have not found a place that offers such quality and value for money in the area and I always look forward to staying there when we visit the wonderful town of TAGGIA! I highly recommend this establishment!!

If you are looking for a friendly place, don't hesitate. Food is good and cheap, people pleasant and mood cosy. You will be welcomed by Rocco in a warm and friendly way. Live the Italian lifestyle but pay attention: this place is highly addictive!!
