Food was good. I stress and urge people not to eat their because your car will be broken into and no one will do anything about it! Do not drive there, our 100 dollar meal will be 400 dollars due to fixing your car window.

WOW! As authentic as you can ever get! Came by for lunch and it was a home run! Fantastic atmosphere, wonderful customer service and the food out of this world. I was born and raised in Japan and I've now found my go to Japanese restaurant in Tacoma! The crispy rice tuna was one of the best I've ever had! Tuna nigiri was so fresh, I was flabbergasted!! Also got the very in Japanese fish tacos ..... OMG!!! It was so good I decided to bring my wife the next night! She was so impressed, she moved all her business lunches with clients to TheKoi!! Keep up the great job!!!!

Furious is an understatement. I door dashed the steak teriyaki plate. My refrigerator broke and I decided to splurge on the NICER LOOKING restaurant. That’s all it is, is nice looks. They killed this ribeye twice, once at the slaughter house, and the second time on the grill. Hard as a rock, inedible. I will attach a photo of how pretty it looked, I was so excited to eat it. I won’t attach the graphic pieces of half chewed rubber that followed. Thankfully DoorDash refunded me. Fairly convinced someone did it on purpose because they are pissed about online orders. I expected more from a nice place with good reviews. Prior to my food arriving, I even put it in my notes to go there with my boyfriend for date night. I was impressed with their website and menu. Not anymore, sure as hell won’t be going back now. Their website says best in the puget sound with multiple awards? Disgusting

Second time here. First time was amazing. This time around everyone elses food was amazing, mine wasn't. I ordered the Steak Teriyaki. For rib eye, it was very disappointing. Tough and lots of gristle. Had to ask for a knife to cut off gristle. Was not worth $30. I hope it was a fluke and this isn't the norm for this meal.

This is a dangerous place for anyone with celiac disease. They have multiple items on their menu that is labeled gf but is made with gluten. I know this because servers have told me in confidence that, for example, the spicy tuna roll, is made with a small amount of soy sauce. I’ve also been told by servers that their ginger that they serve with gf dishes is not gf either. On top of all that, the last time I was there, the fish was old enough to give my partner and I diarrhea and stomach pain.
