Panera Bread - Syracuse
Panera Bread
Description
At Panera Bread, experiences can vary significantly between visits. While some diners rave about friendly staff and delicious dishes like the green goddess salad and broccoli cheddar soup, others face challenges with service and order accuracy. Complaints include unhelpful team members, prolonged waits, and disappointment over unavailable menu items. Although the food remains a strong point, with many appreciating new flavors and classic favorites, inconsistent service detracts from the overall enjoyment. Nonetheless, the positive interactions some guests encounter highlight the potential for a pleasant dining experience, making this location a mixed bag of culinary delights and service hurdles.

I ordered a sandwich, expecting more than just bread. For $12, I anticipated more than a single slice of beef. To make matters worse, the Chai I ordered tasted like warm milk. Thanks for nothing, Panera!
It was a great going to Panera Bread. I had their strawberry salad and it was excellent. So was the mango smoothie with Greek yogurt. Yummy. Next time I'll take a photo and hopefully I can add it back to this review. It's definitely worth it
I popped in during my break to grab my favorite green goddess salad, but I was disappointed to find that they were out of avocados and red onions. After waiting 10 minutes at the kiosk, I ended up waiting another 20 minutes for my order. When I finally sat down to eat, I noticed that the tables were quite dirty. I get that they are busy, but it would be a good idea to have staff stay an hour after closing to clean up the restaurant!
The young woman at the register was incredibly patient and helpful as our group of five figured out what to order. We made several changes along the way, and she handled it all with grace. She even let us sample different salad dressings so we could make a more informed choice. When we were done, we didn't realize we had stayed past their closing time! They let us continue our conversation without being pushy or rude. Overall, the kindness we experienced was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this place based on the outstanding customer service we received!
I chose to try this location because the others nearby have been quite disappointing. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t break that pattern. I ordered a half grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. The soup was only mediocre since it wasn’t made in-house but simply warmed up. But really, it's hard to go wrong with a grilled cheese sandwich—just cheese between two slices of toasted bread! Yet, somehow they managed to mess that up too. This is yet another Panera location I’ll be adding to my "avoid" list.
