Epicuse stands out as a vibrant culinary hub, seamlessly blending a grocery market, restaurant, and wine bar. While many diners rave about their fresh lunch specials and delightful appetizers, experiences can be mixed. Some patrons report service slowdowns and inattentiveness, particularly during busy dining events. Highlights include a scrumptious Turkey and Pepper Jack Wrap and an impressive wine list, complemented by passionate staff like the sommelier. Additionally, the unique atmosphere, bolstered by live performances and a diverse selection of gourmet packaged items, marks Epicuse as a must-visit spot in the downtown area, perfect for both casual bites and gourmet finds.
My son treated us to a Lunch Special of Turkey and Pepper Jack Wraps at this restaurant. It was delicious! For $10, the meal came with chips and a fresh cookie of your choice. We were so impressed and will definitely be returning.
I typically enjoy the food at this restaurant, but this time I ordered a BLT and was extremely disappointed. There were only three overcooked pieces of bacon in the entire sandwich, which barely covered half of the bread. The rest of the bites consisted of green and tomato jam that tasted like ketchup. In essence, I felt like I was just eating a ketchup sandwich.
Came for dining week and it 's apparent the kitchen was NOT prepared.1. Took the order a second time after waiting almost 30 min.2. Entrées are yet to arrive and we 're pushing 90 minutes since we arrived.3. Half tempted to walk out but at this point it feels like a trial of wills for good food.Beet and goat cheese app was amazing. Shaved brussel sprout salad was underwhelming and tasted amazing with a bit of the beet. Can 't speak to the entrées.....still waiting.Responding to the owner 's reply:1. Last night 3/8 had an 1800 reservation. No one asked/checked us in because it didn 't seem like it was busy. Gestured us to a table and we sat about 10 minutes before a server took our drink orders.2. Staff were generally apologetic but seemed overwhelmed and unable to adapt or influence the situation to enact a solution.3. Did not ask to speak with a manager because I don 't feel it 's my responsibility to ask for one. The wait staff were aware and should be communicating with management and be proactive in their approach. I think(? the manager was making rounds and stopped by the table (suggested changes to the gin flight, taught them how to make a gin buck but they never identified themselves as management. Never offered more than I 'll get on the kitchen as a solution. By the time the entree finally arrived (100 minutes total, almost an hour after they took our order the second time , tepid and obviously having sat in the window, I was only interested in leaving.4. Regardless of whether management had intervened, my public review would not be any different.
Epicuse is a versatile business with a grocery store, restaurant, specialty wines and a full bar. Plus, closer to spring they have nonstop events with full catering. Wonderful place to go check out
