Ranch Side Cafe - Sylmar

The food was amazing, and the prices were very reasonable. This isn’t a place for a quick bite; it’s more suited for enjoying a nice conversation over breakfast. The house fries were well-seasoned, and the salsa was freshly made. The surroundings were beautiful, too.

The only thing I wish they offered is Lattes or similar drinks. Otherwise, the rest of the menu is fantastic!

The Ethiopian food is why I come here (my photo doesn't make it fair). It's so delicious and I'm so glad we have a place up here that makes it! It is fresh, unique and super tasty. The checkout is also super friendly, I can say that she really is interested in her work.

From the pictures. The egg white omelette came destroyed, doesn't look like an omelette, more like a scramble. It tasted a bit off and I couldn't figure out why. The fries were cold from the moment they got here. I only got a coffee refill when i asked for it, not once did they check if i needed more. Which is not that big of a deal, they were busy, but it's strange to have to ask for that. The waffle was just a waffle, nothing bad about it, but nothing great about it either. This is rather disappointing because the entire restaurant was packed so i was hopeful that i found an amazing place. The decor is nice though, i really liked the wall murals. I probably won't come back here. Edit: turning review to 1 Star. Found out from a couple foodie friends that the reason the omelette was like that was that the egg whites were likely old, which also explains the flavor.

What a great find! Indoor and outdoor dining. LOTS of menu options, American, Mexican, Ethiopian...who would have known? Great prices, nice portions. Recommend the pastrami, lean, not fatty. Great french fries, not a huge fan of the cole slaw. Would love to try their peach cobbler. Clean bathrooms!! The only downside I had, parking can be tricky.
