This quite little jem in the hart of a busy noisy food court. The suhi is pritty good and not the best selection after 2pm but you can always order off the menu. Its not the cheapest but Grate sake and beer section. Normally not too busy as i think people don't realize it here. The staff are softly spoken and friendly. Grate to unwind after the stress of shopping or crowds in westfield. View all feedback.
What eyerateyourbusiness doesn't like about Sushi Hon:
Very slow service. Sashimi was terrible. It was warm, stringy and lacked flavour. The California rolls were ok. Karriage chicken was delicious. We just hated waiting so long for our food View all feedback.
This semi upmarket sushi bar in the Westfield Food Court had really good food, particularly fish and reasonable service. But it's changed. Now the fish, specially the salmon, is in short supply and the service is in even shorter supply. There's better around. Try the sushi bar in David Jones.
I won’t be returning to Sushi Hon Broadway. Dehydrated calamari that they argued about us not paying for because we’d taken a small bite. I explained that’s how we knew it was old and dehydrated.
We arrived at Sushi Hon at about 8:35pm on a Thursday with the kitchen due to close at 9pm. We did ask if it was OK to order and if we had enough time to be served and to eat. We ordered quickly. Chicken Katsu Don, Chicken Ramen and a 650ml can of Sapporo to share. The food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. But then the staff started to tidy up the restaurant. The sushi train was stripped of food. The condiments were removed from our table. The staff changed into casual clothes. And then the staff started to tuck into the left over sushi, for dinner. It was very disconcerting and really annoying. We felt under pressure to eat and leave. The food itself was good. The Chicken in the Katsu Don was meaty. There was plenty of rice, with large sautéed onion pieces. The meal came to $42, which is quite reasonable for the Westfield. Sharing a large can of Sapporo at $12 does bring the price down a little. I’m not sure at what time the offers start, but Sushi Hon does start to sell off its sushi and bento boxes at the takeaway counter, with special discounts. Maybe this is an option for a cheap meal at the Westfield food court. We will probably return. But will give ourselves sufficient time to eat in a more relaxed manner.

Nestled in the now bustling heart of barangaroo thus place is perfect for a quick lunch. The food was quick and fresh with wait staff attentive and friendly.
