Had a post conference meal here, around 50 people attended, I was not an organiser, merely a participant, there fore I write this review not knowing the cost per head.Fantastic view of out of their 6th floor window, very spacious, pre - dinner drinks flowed very efficiently along with a delicious range of canapes.Lamb or Cod as a main course starter preceded by fish or meat, was excellently cooked and prepared. What User doesn't like about Star Room:
The views from The star room were amazing. Especially while Vivid I'd on in Sydney. We started with bread rolls which were oh sooo stale. A tiny bit of butter for a table of 8 and about 3 tablespoons of oil! Didn't really matter after two of said the bread was awful, it was left alone . The entrees were boring and tasteless but the mains were very good. Faultless. We left before desert as we didn't like the sound of e... View all feedback.

We came here for a work Christmas party. It was in late november so you would think the staff would not be sick of the silly season just yet, but they seemd annoyed and mechanical..looking at the clock. Buttered bread rols and the bread basket were removed from all tables after the first course. Open and unopened bottles of wine were removed from all tables approx 50 mins before the party ended. There seemed to be no other staff to approach other than the waiters..who rightly so didnt care about the non food questions we were asking.Security stood behind us and moved us a long right on the dot which felt a bit excessive.Views were nice and uninterrupted but surrounded by roads..much better views elsewhere for the price we paid.
Attended a 50th birthday party here on a Saturday night for about 50 people. Initial bar service was quite good. Entree was a very poor, soggy battered fish and seafood selection, followed by an average main, alternately serving lamb or fish. Towards the end of the evening a waitress bought over a jug of beer. No sooner had I finished pouring the first glass, another waiter/manager came over and took it away, not responding to my request to bring it back. Very rude!

On Saturday night we celebrated our son's wedding at the Star Room, and the entire process from booking thru to the kids departure it was stressless and highly enjoyable.James the Manager was always available and responded immediately to issues and queries as did his assistants. The food was great .....all our guests commented on the presentation and taste of all the courses and when you have 148 guests ...usually its difficult to please all of them...but there didn't seem to be a problem at the Star Room. The view was amazing, especially when the fireworks started at 8.30pm.Couldn't have been a better night.
