Just a week ago Margherita Co. reopened after months of reconstruction. The new menu offers starters, sharing plates, salads, pizza, and pasta dishes, along with a complete bar menu. At present, orders are received at the bar. Once we were seated we were brought a carafe of water with lemon and fresh basil very refreshing! What Fiona B doesn't like about Margherita & Co:
Except for the lovely service, my takeaway was very disappointed! Ordered the polenta fries that I enjoyed in house previously. Only came with a small amount of sauce and no aioli this time. They had started to sweat in the noodle bowl with a lid they came in. Otherwise okay. The chicken penne on the otherhand was horrible. Menu said basil pesto, pinenuts and salted ricotta. Not sure where the ricotta was. Still in t... View all feedback.
Hey, guys. Are you serious? Seriously you are saying it is good food and giving five stars? I am talking to someone wrote reviews before here. Or maybe, the chef or owner has been changed?? I can say obviously this food is the worst Italian food ever EVER. I couldn't finish the food so was hungry but i spent money here so i needed to have some cheap chips to make my stomach full. I even feel shame for you the owner. Now, I understand why the restaurant was that empty. You better close the restaurant or get better chef before more people become victims. I bet microwave pasta from Coles is better than the past i had here. And for the pizza, you don't have to be that stingy when you make pizza. See, how thin is your pizza topping. Micro cheese with bacon dust pizza for $18. Nice. Yes, so The worst pasta and pizza.

At present, orders are received at the bar. Once we were seated we were brought a carafe of water with lemon and fresh basil very refreshing! We ordered a couple of salads, garlic bread, Spaghetti Bolognese, and Mushroom Tagliatelle. The salads were crisp, fresh, and generous. The bolognese was wonderfully light and perfectly seasoned. The mushroom tagliatelle was creamy and rich over pasta that had to have just been made. And the garlic bread? What a surprise it had a thin, sweet layer of filling that complemented the toasted crust. Excellent! Go before this place is re discovered!
Great pizzas, morzerella and GF carbonara to die for. Beautiful chianti Thoroughly recommended Delicious with good service
Christmas time means lots of teams having lunch and lots of busy restaurants. The food was tasty and hot with plenty of variety on the menu. Service was a little slow, but as it is Christmas time the staff must have been hammered, so they are forgiven. The ravioli was delish and the pizzas looked devine. A overall a very good experience.
Superb service from Michael. Beautiful decor. The pannacotta for dessert was to die for. It is the fifth time I have eaten here and the service is always excellent, as is the food.
