The skinless chicken laksa and sing chao mai are highly recommended dishes that are served quickly and full of flavor. The deep-flavored broth, moist chicken, and well-textured noodles receive accolades, as does the sing chao mai with its wok hei flavor and savory bean sprouts. The place is clean, the staff friendly, and the complementary mandarins a nice touch. Other diners praise the rich flavor of the laksa broth and quality of ingredients, noting the tender chicken that absorbs the broth well. However, takeaway dishes like the rendang can be hit or miss in terms of flavor. Regulars appreciate the consistently great laksa served at this establishment, where customers line up to place orders and pay in cash for their meals. The har mee is a standout dish for its rich and tasty flavor, while the hainan chicken rice also receives praise. Avoiding peak hours is advisable due to the crowded and hectic atmosphere. Overall, Malay Chinese Takeaway is a must-visit spot for those craving authentic and delicious laksa in Sydney.

We all got laksas as this is their most famous dish. The food came out in 10 seconds and it was a big bowl. The broth is really nice! My favourite part is the tofu, it had fully absorbed the broth and was really delicious! br/ br/ Loved it! View all feedback.
When word goes round, it picks up quite fast, particularly for this small eatery on hunter st. I attempted to eat around noon on a weekday and boy was the queue super long! Decided to just go on the weekend and it was so much more quieter. Friendly hello by the counter ladies. Ordered the chicken and prawn laksa for $11.70. Broth was good, lots of mini prawns but the downside is the chicken, too much fat/cartilage. Its tender though. Like their complimentary mandarins too. Its a good place for laksa so im keen to try other kinds when i venture back.
Great Laksa for a very competitive price. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Bravo! The rest isnt too bad either! Keep it going!!!!!!!!!
Safe to say this is the best laksa in Sydney. A good balance between the coconut milk and the chillies. Their rice and fried noodles are very good too.
A nice Malay Chinese restaurant that’s known for their beautiful Laksa. I also like their other dishes such as Nasi Lemak and Char kway teow. Highly recommend Laksa. I give this place 4 bears
My go-to choice is the classic Chicken and Prawn Laksa $12.7). The broth had a promisingly creamy appearance, its surface dappled with a slick of bright red chilli oil. Admittedly, this wasn’t as punchy as I had hoped; I’m not quite sure what’s missing, as the balance between the complex medley of spices and the sweet creaminess of the coconut milk was note-perfect, and the chicken was admirably tender. It was certainly a great bowl of noodles that I would be happy to have any day, though I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s my favourite like many people do.
