My friend has been h... read more Tried a new location for our weekly lunch near Sydney Town Hall and decided on burgers at the new Grill'd Restaurant in Galleries Victoria. My friend has been here several times before with her husband, so she was able to speed up our ordering process. On arrival you ask for a table and you go to the counter to order and pay for your meal, quoting your table number. On paying you are given a bottle top. There are three containers on a wall inside the shop, representing 3 charities. At the end of each month, the charity whose container has the most bottle tops is given a money donation. I placed my bottle top in the Royal Flying Doctors container and my friend chose a Cats Welfare Charity. For lunch, I chose the Sir Truffle Wagyu Burger ($15.90) consisting of a succulent and juicy Wagyu pattie, truffle mayo, aged cheddar cheese, smoked sea salt, cos lettuce and fresh basil. The burger meat was very nice and certainly juicy, the truffle mayo was creamy, the cheese was tasty and the lettuce was crispy and fresh. I also had a small serve of Sweet Potato chips ($4.80), they were delicious. I washed the meal down with a glass of Tarra Warra Estate Shiraz ($8.20). I am not an expert on the taste of Truffle, so I cannot say whether that taste was pronounced or not. I can say that I enjoyed the burger and look forward to trying others on the menu. My friend had a burger bowl, without the bun and served in a bowl, consisting of chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese and 2 dips and I did not inquire about the cost, she said that really enjoyed it. We have decided that Grill'd should be one of our regular lunch places, due to its location and speed of providing the meals and look forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for lunch for workers or holiday makers, alike.
