Hailing of Melbourne, my partner (who grew up on cooking his "Yiayia") and I have pretty high expectations when it comes to Greek cuisine. Fortunately, Dietnes disappointed! Grief We ordered a selection of dishes, including Saganaki, Spanakopita, Tiropita, Dolmades, Tzatzkiki and Panfried Calamari. The food came out quickly, which was very much appreciated when we had a flight to catch this evening - and at the same time the dishes were well dealt well (as opposed to all who were immediately emitted, which sometimes can handle a lot Wise). Grief For the food itself it was authentic, fresh and full of taste. Highlights included the enamel-in-i-your-mouth-spanakopita and the balanced, fully tasty tzatziki. A completely divine meal. Grief To exclude it, the service was great - our waiter was friendly and attentive despite the busy turn. We will be 100% here again when we are in Sydney next time!
That was the first time I tried Greek food, and I thought, everything tasted pretty good. It was only the whole underworld that I did not like that much.
When I worked around here near Central, I often have lunch here, after I had moved Uptown, I still strolled for his atmosphere and good reliable food; But all this remained with the new interior: bench on the wall. Not on. Felt like a dining room in a barracks.
The restaurant itself feels a bit dungeon-like being underground. Foodwise I prefer the Athenian to eat in or the Corinthian Marrickville for takeaways, but this is close to home & their takeaways are OK when I want to tuck into yemista or moussaka in front of the TV. Very small takeaway servings though, so only if I'm really craving it...

One of the worst Greek restaurants I've been to. I don't know how it got so many good reviews are they even real? We got a moussaka that looked and tasted like runny gravy, dry chicken with anemic chips and the whole place smelt damp and musty. Avoid this. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
