What Lily D dislikes about Danjee:
Had the lunch box with beef and pork and purple rice, with green tea ‘slushie’, good authentic flavour with little side dishes... it’s a good place to bring western friends or colleagues, to introduce them slowly to Korean cuisine! View all feedback.

The best korean restaurant in Sydney! If you're looking for an authentic korean meal, Danjee should definitely be your first choice. The food is great, very healthy and tasty. I went to this place almost ten times now and it never disappoints me.
I have been to Danjee four times during the last three months. I have been to nearly ten Korean resturants in Sydney, and Danjee is my clear favorite. The food is delicious, the service is good and the atmosphere is good. The over all value is great and the side dishes are great too! My dish recommendations are hwae dup bap (sashimi bibimbap) and soy marinated pork ribs. Personally I find these dishes going very well together.
We came here for a Friday lunch and ordered stone pot bibimbap, and regular bibimbap also. We had some fried chicken too. First up the service is quite friendly and we were served quickly too. The food didn't take too long to reach us which was great. The only thing that bugged me was that for the price difference between the stone pot and regular bibimbap, not only did we not get a hot pot, but we also didn't get rice. For me it wasn't so much an issue since I wouldn't have finished it all, but in terms of value... go for the stone pot one. The chicken was super tender, which I loved, and all the flavours were quite nice. Not the best korean food I have had, but it is certainly a decent place to head for lunch or dinner in the city. theminiaturekitchen.net
Great Korean food hidden in an alleyway in the heart of the city. Would definitely recommend the seafood pancake, one of the best ones I've had. Traditional dishes like the soups and fried chicken were also delicious. Nice ambience, plenty of space so great for groups.
All thanks to a mate who had recommended this joint, I dropped by on a Sunday night and was pleasantly surprised by how I didn't have to talk/scream at the top of my lungs to be heard! Their menu featured a wide array of options and I would say that the Budae Jjigae (Army Stew) & Danjee Fried Chicken are must haves if you're dining in with a group of 3 or more.
Danjee, located in a lane way just off the cinema district in Sydney, is a popular restaurant known for its authentic Korean cuisine. The welcoming Korean hosts and wide array of menu options make it a great place to introduce friends to Korean food. While slightly pricey, patrons don't seem to mind, with recommendations including the Bibimbap served on a hot stone. The restaurant offers delicious and large portions, cooked to perfection with a variety of flavors. With dishes like the Army Stew and Danjee Fried Chicken being crowd favorites, Danjee is praised as the best Korean restaurant in Sydney by many repeat customers. The atmosphere, service, and food quality make it a go-to spot for Korean BBQ, with unique cocktails adding to the overall fun dining experience.

First time to eat a Korean lunch. Going by the photo menu we ordered Bassak Sutbol Bulgogi-marinated/cooked minced beef served with sliced spring onions: Hot Stone Sogogi Dolsot Bibimbap-a variety of thinly sliced raw vegetables-topped with a raw egg yolk to stir in the hot stone pot with a sauce. It was tasty. We enjoyed our Korean experience, choosing the steel chopsticks to add to the enjoyment. Take your time to look at the menu photos, next time we hope to try the crispy chicken.
Absolutely delicious authentic Korean food. The portions are huge and definitely worth the price! Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. This restaurant is located down a small alley way right next to Event Cinemas on george st. There is a beautiful garden located outside that you should check out too!
Feel like being in Korean with authentic BBQ taste. The place is more for beef lover with several choice of beef. Many Korean Japanese choices from fried chicken, sashimi, eel, kimchi soup. The place is spacious where can accommodate large group of people like 10 above.

Popular restaurant located in a lane way just off the cinema district in Sydney. Welcoming Korean hosts. Slightly pricey for what it is however looks like the patrons don’t mind. Bibimbap is my recommendation. On a hot stone if it’s too cold outside.

Massive restaurant hidden in a little alleyway in the CBD. They got a wide variety on their menu with decent quality ingredients. The prices are higher than the typical Korean restaurant though.
Danjee is one of the premium Korean restaurants in city. It’s probably the only place that I’d take the special guests. Interior is nice, it’s clean, dishes are presented well and has a very good range of Korean food. Lunch box is also very good. Highly recommended for business lunches special occasion gatherings. I give this place 4 bears
If you’re a fan of bibimbap, definitely give this place a try. It’s filling and flavorful with plenty of side dishes included. Servers were attentive around lunch time, food came quickly, and it didn’t seem to get too busy in the restaurant. Place was clean and not sticky feeling, and even though they serve alcohol it doesn’t feel like a bar. Overall, great ambiance/music with a lot of younger patrons.
Amazing food and service. Beware the soju and hite. Strong stuff!
