Reviews summary
Buckley's offers a mixed bag of reviews, with some praising the stunning view of the harbor and enjoyable food, while others found the food to be average or even inedible. Visitors recommend trying out the rump steak special, enjoying the view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and possibly opting to sit inside to avoid cold food due to windy conditions. Was thewhereto at Buckley's a mag?
We visited this restaurant after a work event and shared a variety of platters, including meats like steak and sausages, along with seafood options. The food was remarkable, even surpassing our expectations based on the menu. View all feedback.
What Jermain Nicolas dislikes about Buckley's:
Outside area has a good view of the harbour, inside has a standard rustic look to it.
Went here with 3 other people.
We had the fish and chips, rump steak, a mozzarella cob, & potato cheese bites.
To be perfectly honest the food was average, similar to that of an RSL.
The redeeming quality of Buckley's was its beers! Definitely would recommend coming here if your love your upper end beers. View all feedback.

This place has a perfect ambience to hang out with friends while having a good view of the harbour. They have a range of beers to choose from so you will surely fit in whatever type of drinker you are. And oh, the wedges are to die for.
The food is excellent, complemented by a stunning view of the Harbour Bridge and the Quay. The salmon is a standout dish, cooked to perfection with crispy skin. The beetroot purée underneath adds a delightful salty and tangy flavor, grounding the dish beautifully. The Chancer Golden Ale, with its fruity aroma and subtle bitterness, pairs wonderfully with the seafood.
Walking on the road of Opera House, Sydney; came across this place with a very scenic and pleasant ambience it’s actually an open restaurant with perfect view of Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge . Checked it’s rating on zomato which was very low but this place had a better menu so thought of trying it. Ordered 5 items from their menu,<br/ 1. Lemon lime bitters This rare combination of lemon and lime with bitters is a Aussie favourite drink and also a perfect start to the meal. This has a strong smell of bitters and woody taste is very refreshing. It’s a must try!!<br/ 2. Upsidedown Merlot This fruity and sweet wine was smooth enough to make you get upsidedown :P just kidding.. it was elegant and rich in taste<br/ 3. Onion Rings These were quite basic in taste.. could have been better but can’t blame the chef, as onion rings are nothing but onions fried in flour.<br/ 4. Beer battered Fish This will definitely make your mouth drool into its beer and fish taste.. we tried it with fries but this can also be sided by salad. Also can be enjoyed with Tabasco sauce. It’s a Must try!!<br/ 5. Crispy skinned Chicken Wings Served with mashed potato, dint taste that good. In mashed potato, cheese and potato weren’t properly blend.. and the chicken tasted very bland.. couldn’t have more than a bite of it..<br/ .<br/ .<br/ Ambience <br/ Food <br/ Service <br/ .<br/ .<br/ #fish #brew #chicken #bitters #nightthatcantbeforgottencozoffood #loveforfood #foodies #eatrepeat #foodporn #beverage #maincourse #foodies #foodbloggers #tipsytongues
A perfect stop if you want to enjoy the view of the harbour no doubt. Looked after from the beginning until the end thanks to the super great and hospitable Anthea. Love you Sydney, yours truly Melbourne
The customer service was excellent; we were warmly welcomed when we arrived and invited to choose our own seating. We ordered a couple of burgers along with some drinks. The burgers were delightful, and the beer-battered chips were even more impressive. The location and views were the standout features of the experience. It’s a fantastic place to soak in the beauty of the harbor while enjoying a wonderful meal.

Friendly staff, decent food at a decent price, and brilliant table outlook out over Circular Quay where you can sit on a balmy evening, sip on a drink and watch the ferries come and.go while you gaze at the lights reflecting off the dark water of the waves. Then take in the nighttime cityscape to your left and sweep out across the harbour and Opera House. Then be drawn back into the conversation your friends are having....
With limited time for lunch we tried lunch especially. Our chicken carvings arrived after a short waiting period and were fresh and tasty. The ambience was nothing special to expect for a pub, but the service was good and valuable...for money was excellent, especially in such a tourist area.
