Bodhi Restaurant & Bar - Sydney

I ate lunch here in July 2022. They wheel around the dim sum yum cha and you choose what you want to eat. Then they add it to your bill. I had three spinach dumplings and three broccoli, carrot, ginger dumplings. It was delicious and very filling. I could not eat more than that. At the end of my lunch, a rainstorm came so I waited for it to pass. This was my second time to eat lunch here with the first time being in 2019.

I've been wanting to visit this restaurant for ages, and finally had the opportunity to enjoy dinner with friends. The decor was simple, but everything was clean and comfortable. Service was brilliant from start to finish. Everyone was so friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and helpful. The food was amazing! Our group ordered just about everything on the menu and each dish was perfection! The flavour, freshness, portion size, everything was brilliant. I'm so sad that they've now closed, and am hoping they'll pop up again somewhere very soon. Fingers crossed :

My sister and I had the worst experience recently at this restaurant. Table, cutlery and crockery were dirty and old. Brought us the incorrect orders. Chai was milk, hot water with some cinnamon dropped in. Tasted like milk water which was ghastly for $7!!!! Green tea was luke warm. Servers didn’t Seem to care. When we visited the bathrooms we decided to talk to the manager. The state of the bathrooms were awful. You can tell a lot about how a restaurant is managed by their bathrooms. I would hate for other diners to be decieved when making reservations. Location is about the only thing that is good. It’s time to close your doors Bodhi. Thank you for realizing that you’ve gone downhill.

First of all, when you walk in the place is soooo pretty : the service was nice but effificent. We ordered a lot, stand outs were the chickn sliders and the finger eggplant. I also loved the creme brûlée dessert. The dumplings were disappointing. It is expensive but that’s ok every once in a while : we’ll definitely come back

Firstly we got placed on a very dirty and stinky couch outside. Definitely has not been cleaned fir some weeks. The wine I ordered was old it had all the gunk on the bottom of the glass. When I brought the glass back the Lady who I believe was the manager, came back with the exact same glass, insisting the wine was new opened and if I want a new glass of wine it will be from the exact same bottle. At the end I got a new glass of wine witch this time was fresh and definitely not from the same bottle. The Lady was very arrogant. I would never go back there.
