Assembly Restaurant - Sydney

Went to the resteraunt part and shared a pizza. Pizza was 4 cheese but was cold on arrival. When we let the server know he said "really?" And put his hand on the pizza- it was pretty funny. Now even if it was hot, u just put your hand in our food?! He probly should have just believed us! Second pizza was good. Would go back.

I quite enjoyed Assembly after coming across it one Friday night. The dim light sets a casual and comfortable mood. Great place for a drink. We had some dinner here also and I was left pretty satisfied. Myself and two others shared the quinoa salad, sweet potato chips and the Fresca Fresca vegan pizza. Salad was fresh and enjoyable. The pizza was the favourite. Very impressed that it was vegan. The dough was thin a floppy, just how I love it! It didn't taste far off abnormal pizza. Staff and service weren't too bad.

I was quite impressed with this place! My friend and I had actually intended to go for Korean next door, but their lunch menu is not available on Fridays, so we wandered (not very far) and ended up at Assembly Restaurant. I had heard of Assembly Bar plenty of times and it has a bit of a ring to it, but had never thought to try the restaurant despite being right across from each other. They have a few $15 lunch deals you can choose from so my friend asked for the pasta of the day, while I got the carciofini pizza. They have another vegan pizza option also however this was not part of the $15 deal. My friend enjoyed her pasta although it wasn't a very generous size, and took FOREVER to come out. Have no idea why it took that long to be honest. My pizza was fantastic also. They again weren't too generous with the eggplant and artichoke, however the strong scent of the truffle oil and the pizza base itself were heavenly. For $15 it was pretty worth it considering it had me full. The mood is great with very dim lighting, you could get carried away for hours in there if you weren't strapped for time and had to go back to work. There weren't too many people so it was a very chill lunch. Which actually means the food could really have come out a little faster, so hoping speed improves, because we would definitely consider going back!

We went here on a Friday night for dinner. It wasn't that busy, maybe 3 tables but we chose to sit up at the bar because it was brighter for me to take photos and also see the pizza oven in action. We took the managers suggestion for a drink and got a well constructed cocktail, lychee flavour. We perused the menu and they mostly sell pizzas that all looked pretty appealing and cooked in the huge pizza oven. We got a couple of share plates; lamb ribs came out straight away - they are really nice, sticky flavour. We also ordered the zucchini flowers and charcuterie plate. Zucchini flowers were 2 on a plate, slightly crispy and nice cheese filling. The charcuterie plate had a few types of meat and cheese, but the cheese wasn't great and it had no bread which is a bit odd. These came out about 40 minutes after ordering. That is the second time that I come here and dine. this time we ordered pizza Margarita(AD$17), pizza four Fromage(AD$28), and green leaf Salad(AD$10).
