Reviews - Wetherspoon
Reviews summary
The Weatherspoons at the Old Borough Hotel in Swords, Co. Dublin offers a mix of positives and drawbacks. While the food quality can be hit or miss, with tough steaks and small, expensive burgers, the real ale on offer, priced at €2.05 per pint, is a standout feature. The convenient app for ordering and paying adds to the overall experience. Despite some mishaps during visits, such as unavailable beers and mixed-up orders, the tasty Irish Red Ale and affordable prices make this a worthwhile spot for drinks. For those looking to catch a game and enjoy cheap pints, Weatherspoons is worth a try.

eating is very good and they have different kinds of bears. especially the clubs like for example the steak club (especially thementage) are always a good offer. Price/performance ratio is very good here. the witness is always friendly. So why only star, because sometimes kitchen blew a bit of their order and it takes time to get the food or not in the order as they placed it. but only sometimes. about everything it'... What Anonym dislikes about Wetherspoon:
family Sunday dinner with women and children. we had kid meat, Roast-Turkey, classic burger and frying chicken plus chocolate cake and soft drinks. eur. child happy, elder disappointed. the turquoise and the bark was missing something, that would be the macular and the meat that looks like it came from a cow or a truthahn and not a package. dessert, coffee and hot chocolate very nice. a great location and good value,... Wetherspoon is always very comfortable, here in Swords they are even more friendly and they immediately help with any need, well done!
This review refers only to the pub! It's great if you're looking for something affordable; the food and drinks are relatively inexpensive, yet everything is still delicious. I think it's fantastic that you can order via an app or QR code; it works really well. You absolutely have to try the garlic mayo.
A somewhat older hotel and pub. The reception is at the bar. Our room was large and spacious. The food was good, but nothing special. They really can't make cocktails. However, I found the ordering process for food and drinks to be excellent.
We stayed in this historical building for one night since it was only 15min from the airport. Dinner and breakfast were very good and extremely reasonable prices. Very good service as well..highly recommend it.

I tried the vegan breakfast at this restaurant a couple of months ago. It consisted of beans, hash browns, vegan sausage, and toast. Overall, it was decent but could have been warmer. The meal was what I expected for a budget-friendly breakfast. I received a spread with my toast, but I opted not to use it as I was unsure if it was vegan. The staff were okay, as it is a Wetherspoon's restaurant mostly staffed by young employees on minimum wage. Don't expect outstanding service. I might consider returning to try their dinner menu if I am in the area, but I wouldn't hurry back.

We decided that we were trying to make some of the breakfasts in weatherspoons easy, as it was the weekend before payday broker! . however, I was pleasantly surprised, prices where great and the good was definitiw not the worst! the speck was over cooked, but all the others from the traditional fry € 4.75 was perfectly cooked! and with free refill coffee, what more would they want!
Family Sunday dinner with woman and 2 children. we had bark meat, turkey, classic burger and reddish of the child plus 2 chocolate wing cakes and 4 alcohol-free drinks. cost 43 eur. child happy, elder disappointed. the turquoise and the bark was missing something, that would be the macular and the meat that looks like it came from a cow or a truthahn and not a package. dessert, coffee and hot chocolate very nice. a great location and good value, another addition to heavy many pubs and restaurants. close to the top of the city, but on the bottom of the market. on the basis of this I cannot see that British pub chains are a great threat to traditional pubs and restaurants, but only offer more choice and worth.
I tried the vegan breakfast a few months ago at this restaurant. It consisted of vegan sausage, hash browns, and toast. Overall, it was average - not bad, but it could have been warmer. The breakfast was what I expected for the price. The staff was courteous, but since it's a Wetherspoon, the service was not exceptional. The restaurant seemed to be mainly frequented by young people on minimum wage. I might consider going back for dinner if I was in the area, but I wouldn't make a special trip to return.
